in this Valheim gameplay guide for solo combat players I will show you how to find the 3rd boss location in Valheim and also how to summon the third boss using withered bones. You need 10 withered bones to summon the 3rd boss. To obtain withered bones you must go into sunken crypts within the swamp that can be unlocked with the swamp key from the 2nd boss. The sunken crypts have treasure chests, iron scrap and draugr inside that will drop withered bones. Use the withered bones to summon Bonemass. Bonemass has a huge resistance to piercing damage and slashing damage so its highly recommended that you use a iron mace since Valheims 3rd boss is weak to blunt damage. I will give you my Valheim tips and tricks for beating the 3rd boss in the game and the best weapons and armor to use and how to craft them. You can summon Bonemass repeatedly to farm him for experience if you wish. Once Bonemass is defeated he will drop a trophy that gives you physical damage resistance, its one of the best boss powers in the game, he will also drop a wishbone which can be used to find silver in the mountains biome.
Valheim is a new RPG survival game set in a huge open world that can be played solo or co-op by 1-10 players and optional PVP mode with action combat. Frost Arrows are the best arrows for Bonemass, he takes bonus damage from Frost damage!
ESO you can get obsidian from the mountains. No need to go the plains.

For all people complain in the comments about PS4 era graphics, this looks great in the swamp area, very atmospheric.
Haven't been able to figure out how to unlock the iron warhammer. Not sure what material I'm missing at this point. I'm already on iron and I've been able to find some obsidian

I've visited 3 swamp areas in my world and none of them have had a dungeon, though one had one of those spiral staircases, but it goes down into water, so I don't understand what to do with it.
How do you get the war hammer?
Maybe I missed the vid, but how do you get the iron hammer?
My friends and I worked together, I used the abyssal harpoon to drag the boss into a large pit we made in a nearby dark Forrest. Once he was trapped in the pit we pelted him with frost arrows until he went down.
So you showed the treehouse technique but not that frost arrows do massive more damage? Took me 2 minutes and around 100 frost arrows to kill it solo without a treehouse.. Strange the meta for this boss is face tank with blunt. I found silver while looking for obsidian and frost glands. Guess one could go mine a set of iron everything to facetank it.. waste of time imo i skipped bronze and iron armor.
honestly the ice arrows on this boss is the best option i think
You can get obsidian from the mountains, even a small mountain will give 100-150 of it. Whatch out for the wolves though!
Additional fun fact for the cheesing method: What you hit when building the staircase wasn't a skybox, but the vertical height limit of your workbench. The second workbench you put down would have allowed you to build even higher if you had wanted to.
Obsidian is obtained from the mountains as well, same as the frozen gland. Just craft a frost resistance mead from the bloodbags from leeches in the swamp, don't need to go to the plains.
Frost arrows are easy to craft and can be obtained before fighting bone mass which makes the treehouse method a perfectly easy way to solo it
A stack of frost arrows will do the trick. Wolfs and drakes are no problem with iron gear
