Quick run-through of backstab damage with all 4 daggers currently available in-game. All tests were done using 100/100 dagger skill and all 4 daggers have been upgraded to max level.
The highest backstab I have seen so far has been a a 1253 hit using a 4/4 Blackmetal Knife.

I wish there were an item or a cape that increase the sneak to 100% or getting invis for some seconds. I love sneak but in this game it's not meant to be efficient in every situations.
They should add invisible potions like minecraft
