#Valheim #EarlyAccess #Viking #Survival
A brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. Battle, build, and conquer your way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage!
A battle-slain warrior, the Valkyries have ferried your soul to Valheim, the tenth Norse world. Besieged by creatures of chaos and ancient enemies of the gods, you are the newest custodian of the primordial purgatory, tasked with slaying Odin’s ancient rivals and bringing order to Valheim.
Your trials begin at the disarmingly peaceful centre of Valheim, but the gods reward the brave and glory awaits. Venture forth through imposing forests and snow-capped mountains, explore and harvest more valuable materials to craft deadlier weapons, sturdier armor, viking strongholds and outposts. Build a mighty longship and sail the great oceans in search of exotic lands … but be wary of sailing too far…
Key features:
Huge procedurally-generated world – explore and inhabit mystical lands, from mysteriousforests to imposing snow-topped mountain ranges and stunning meadows, complete with their own creatures of legend to battle and wildlife to hunt.
Co-op PvE (2-10 players) – – Whether you want to brave the lands alone or venture with trusted allies, Valheim supports independent, player-hosted servers and unlimited world creation. We recommend playing co-op with 3-5 players.
Punishing dodge & block based combat system with a wide range of weapons
Build & sail ships – from flimsy rafts to imposing warships, build legendary vessels to conquer the seas and discover new lands.
Summon and defeat vengeful primordial bosses of myth and legend, and collect trophies to progress and craft new powerful items
Flexible house and base building system – raise mead halls, farms, settlements outposts, castles and more.
Intuitive item crafting – forge the finest weapons and armour, and craft food and mead.
Dedicated server- for players who want to run a persistent server. If you prefer not to run a server on your PC, consider renting a server at G-Portal.
Community-translated languages:
In addition to the officially supported languages, Valheim has several community-translated languages. As the name would suggest these are all translated by fans and members of the community, and is an ongoing process. We can’t guarantee the quality nor completeness of any specific translation effort.

Dying in the middle of nowhere is the worst.
another note for building that may get patched out (or maybe not) trees you can't hurt (swamp and mistlands) can be built onto leaving no height restrictions other than building workbenches higher up to expand their area they do have a limit vertically as well as horizontally. so no more crumbling due to height just building from flat ground up. it does require working around the trees but your build height is now limited to how tall the trees you're using are.
secondly and MUCH more expensive build dirt columns using the hoe (raise ground) ground counts the same as the indestructible trees meaning anything attached or build on it counts as zero as far as height limits are concerned. so you could build dirt columns attach wood or stone walls/floors and also go as high as you want.
higher levels let you get near instant draw on the bow so you could make a bunch of arrows and spend hours just shooting them into stuff that can take damage.
oh and i don't care how you play double looting or whatever…but FFS stop running everywhere in valheim without conserving some stamina. that is your most muppet move in both games though 7 days is more forgiving. in valheim as you discovered with the turtle it can get you killed. it is literally your most valuable resource more important than food since you need it for everything. you wouldn't have died because of the turtle the mining you would have died because you refuse to conserve stamina. plan ahead keep some in reserve.
I undrstand you don't want to show the grinding.
But at least show the construction.
In the first episode you had barely one building, at he second it was already two and half.
Now is going to become a small village and most of it appeared like a mushroom from my point of view.
Those Trolls will respawn, btw.
Bet You Miss the Compound Crossbow with upgrades.
25:55 "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?' Worse than trolls, is what that is. That is the plains biome. That's like 3 biomes higher difficulty then the Dark Forest biome.
I guess pigs don't like the glowing mushrooms. I do know that they like carrots and berries though.
Yea make sure you leave the Karve away from the coast they love destroying that stuff for you
I got this game after watching you and my god this game is fun love the farming and bow play
Josh, you need "roots of the ground" to tame boars, i.e. carrots or turnips. Ok, I lied. Firespark81 scienced it and said all foods tame at the same rate, except for honey and golden mushrooms which they won't eat, but they suffer from stasis when you leave the area and the area unloads.
You will need to find better weapons and better armour, if you want to continue progressing. Those two small baddies that managed to kill you, were no joke.
A tactic that I have used with Civilization is to define the borders of any piece of terrain I am on. It helps that I have many units in my army and I can have a few of them scouting around, but you might want to fully explore the area where you started your game. You do not know what is down south. Once you know whether or not you are on an island, will tell you how you need to search for more resources.
Now that you have two bosses down, what else will the game throw your way?
45:45 Beefalo! Make camp by them. They'll give you poop fur!
(Don't really though. That was just a reference to the game 'Don't Starve')
The swamp is the next biome you want to explore. The enemies aren't too much harder and you start getting the ingredients for your next level weapons and armor there.
Not gonna lie….when you know about the oceans and plains already….this video is hilarious! haha love your content JW!
I love valheim too. Well done.
The boars don't eat yellow mushrooms. Need rasp/blue berries or normal shrooms for them. Most renewable resources they'll eat is carrot / turnips
The 'island' will come back eventually. It's a Leviathan (think Kraken)
Fuling (the burny goblin) came out of the Plains biome. Stay away from it because Fulings aren't the scariest resident and Deathsquitoes can outrun the boats.
Got to admit, the whole time you're doing corpse runs, I can't help but wonder WHY you are still pushing on when even the mosquitos here are killing you. And you want the BOSS?
na dude this is actually fun to watch
WTG Josh. This game is supper hard solo. I wish I could play it as well as you. Thanks for the vid and hope to see more.
Ah… pretty sure taming does not continue while you are absent, and i think boars don't eat the glowing mushrooms (otherwise it is 8 reg mushrooms to tame a biggy)
You can build a bigger boat and really enjoy this game 2 for some reason it's more fun watching you get recked more than I do haha you need a key for the swamp you get from the boss
Boring related fact – 'Starboard' comes from Viking ships where the 'Steer board' (rudder) was always on the right of the ship. Okay, I'll go back to lurk mode……
Hey Josh did you know if you make the Troll hide cloak you get +25% sneak? It helps with getting the drop on Jeffries who want to end your viking career.
do u loose skillpoints when u die?
Isn't there a dodge button in this game? I've never played Valheim but that kinda seems like something that would come in handy lol.
press "R" to put your weapons away while running. uses less stam
I love Valdheim!!!! Keep them coming
You made my laugh so hard after a crap day
Am loving this game..
you were trolled!!
sail away. sail away.sail away(song)

Lolololol I have to say you've made me want to try this game.
Says he doesn't like the ocean yet plays raft and subnatica lol
How is this doing worse?!?!? This game is full on amazing!
I love it when you squeal as the Plains mobs chase you down. Great content!
This game is boring as shit.
From the days of 7 days, love the content Jah!
Your personality matches this game perfectly!!! Love it
port = left(same number of letters), so yes, starboard = right
Ya should have taken everything you needed for the bed in the hold of the ship…lol
Hey! Love coming to you from San Antonio Texas. If you need wood in the forest be sure to break the logs and tree stumps you find. Also, breaking the small trees and shrubs will give you regular wood as well. Good luck mate!
Can't wait for your base ideas in valheim. ESO fallout channel have some sick base build for starter idea.
