Very cool idea, nicely done!
100% trying this tonight
Why digging into the ground?
Why not building it on ground level?
(did I missed something)
Loved you using doors to push them back in lol. Want a Pro foraging tip for mushrooms, berries and thistles? – turn your graphics settings for vegetation to zero and view/draw distance to maximum. You can now see Mushrooms and edibles from MILES away.
Finally!!! ive been waiting to see this since u hinted on it the other day xD love it xD
These things float btw. You can completely dig underneath them and the greydwarves will spawn below. I know someone that breeds wolves beneath one.
Well done.
Great video total, love the idea, I will defiantly being giving it a try.
holy madness.. what if.. stone fire?
LOL more pointless farming for stuff you dont need. Just finish the game and move on. Its not even fun after.
Your a monster but then you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, or all the eggs……burn world, burn.
It looks like a gas chamber for greydwarfs
thought there was a spawn limit on these? there is a video of a guy that went through all the hidden states on the weapons and he used these spawners to kill thousands of mobs, but they kept breaking on him after a while.
this is awesome!
what if u tried to raise the ground under the spawner?
cause usually when i find 1 its near the ocean
Raise an earthen wall around the spawn point. On one side cut a trench two heights deep and two long. Slope a ramp from the enclosed spawn area down to the trench bottom. Place three fires in the trench. one at the bottom of the ramp and one at each end of the trench. The mobs will spawn and wander down the slope into the fire. the first few will flee up the ramp but eventually the population gets so large they push each other into the fires in their panic.
Wrong thumbnail? it says "Unlimited Stone" just fyi
Awesome idea!
But does it even work when you're out of drawing distance?
If no enemies are being spawned there's nothing to be grilled…
six grey dwarf dislike this video
Great Odin's Raven! That is masterful, even looks good.
I just did something like this last week in my world and trained up my blocking and other skills. I think it only drops 3 at a time.
I still want to get into the game, these videos will help me prepare a little bit more. Thanks for sharing!
For some reason the music made this feel so sad
After Let's Game It Out released his Valheim video of him killing everything by placing campfires under them I knew it was just a matter of time before someone did this.
The spawners float, you can mine the ground beneath it.
More Valheim videos!
I like it! Nice and Evil!
This gave me some ideas
You sound like you're about to fall asleep my man.
While I haven't gotten there yet don't bonfires the massive ones with cores not go out even in rain, wouldn't that automate it further?
This was very smart! Thank you for the video!
You did this the hard way. At the start you should dig a hole and lure 3 spawns into the hole and trap them so they cant get out. The spawner wont spawn anymore mobs if those 3 are alive and nearby. You are then free to dig out the land under ths spawner and create your killing pit without having to worry about new spawns. Once finished kill the 3 trapped in the hole and you are done.
Now THIS is the content I want to see for the game on Youtube! You're taking it slow compared to other Valheim youtubers, but you're doing it right, thanks ♥
But you have to be near the spawn for it to spawn creatures, right? So this is only really useful if you have your base close by?
You know, I've been looking at those spawn points and thinking, there is an opportunity here…. My thought went the other direction. Clear mobs as they spawn, place fires, and raise earthen ramps/walls around the spawn point, then roof it. My computer is ages old though, so I never got past about six fires… 🙁
I will try this but using some stone
Great one again
Maybe ad wall around to protect it from the trolls ?
I don't think this has any use other than being fun. After the Elder Your bags and the forests are always full of Greydwarfs remains.
Pro Tip, if you use a hearth and place wooden planks over it, the fire wont get smoked out, it will burn grey dwarves wandering over it, and you will save fuel for the fires when they inevitably run out
I don't know. Seems to me it takes less effort to chop down a bunch of trees, deposit in my cart, chop more down, lather, rinse, repeat, for that delicious wood. Same for stone.
