You could also make a V shaped construction on the shore made out of the wooden planks or poles in the shape of the front of the boat and just drive into it.
my boats keep taking random damage while docked, how can I solve that?

The waves 110% take your boat out to sea. Confirmed. Numerous times lol.
I've found that over time, it can be moved. A few massive storms over 6-7 days moved it about 10-15 feet.
and if you leave the sails down a boat it will keep going without you lol
I had a pier just like this and my boat floated off in a storm. It was in perfect condition, no monsters attacked it, and I was gone for less than 2 hours. It's out there somewhere. I had a boat destroyed earlier and it dropped all of the parts plus the cargo, so it definitely floated off out of sight from my base.
My boats always disappear? Anyone know how to help?
