2. I like to pull it to the Swamp because the swamp creatures will kill it for me. But you need at least a fully upgraded iron armor, so you won't be the one being killed. These serpents can be tricky, they can turn their head very fast to the water and if their head is in the water the scales sink, since the itens drop from the head alone. Lucky you to find one so fast and close to the beach, sometimes I traveled for days in-game to find only one, and it's incredibly frustrating if you miss the scales. Also it seems you can only pull it so much inland, the rope always broke when I tried to pull the serpent too much inland to kill it more safely.

5. Nice vid! I drug mine down the mouth of a river so that when he went back to the water, he still had to go down the river before he was back into the ocean. This allowed me to walk along the river bank and recover stamina without worrying about him escaping completely.

6. Don't forget about the minor stamina mead it doesn't take much to craft once you're in the bronze age.

7. 1:40 I was able to mine the barnacles using the Antler axe.

8. You don't need a bronze axe. I used the deer antler one but you can only harvest about 10 chitin at a time before you have to find another "island."

11. You don’t actually have to attack it. If it stays on land for a period of time, it will automatically die.

12. literally the first time i tried a boat and i met this dude, naked with a bow on a raft and i got him. its not even hard but its still scary

13. So I got my friend to play finally and had a gear set for him he wanted to sail around and I said “btw there’s sea monsters in this game” 15 seconds later here comes one and kills us both. We spent 3 hours getting our gear back lmao I’m hooked

14. Make sure you top off on food before doing this. It makes things a lot easier.

15. Not sure if you know this, but you can actually switch weapons while the serpent is harpooned using the hotkeys. As long as you don't use the harpoon again it wont break free. Meaning you can slap him around while he's tethered. Would definitely recommend having a 3 meal stamina bar though, they break free when you run out.
    You can also kill them just be keeping them on land. After a short period of time out of the water they just explode. ;D
    I started spearing them, pulling them on shore and just waiting if I felt lazy/mean. Serpent soup is a pretty great food in this game.

18. I got attacked by this thing at lost all my 10 hours worth6og gear, the thing just destroyed my raft. They need to make this thing more balanced
