You're dead to me.
I did Bonemass and Moder in the same day. Mountains were easy, I did it before my frost mead was brewed. Throw camp fires down and follow the wish bone. Once you find silver, throw down a small portal base with a bonfire. You will inevitably kill some wolves so before you know it you have a wolf cloak. You can now go farm for all the silver gear and hunt for eggs. If you want to be super efficient do your farming on a different server than your main base and simply server swap when your bags are full or you need to process ore or transport dragon eggs. I got super lucky and located Moder in the first ruins I found, made a portal base near him, dug around his alter and just arrowed him down using the alter as cover.

you can find silver in mountain biomes prior to getting the wishbone, sometimes you encounter it just sticking out of the mountain. it just takes more time and obviously you are going to need frost potions or campfires to let you travel safely through the mountains.

i love this game and it looks fantastic, but my gpu sucks so when i got it i could only run at 10 fps on all low graphics settings

So I made the wolf cape and upgraded it but I still freeze in the mountain… I figured I need the full wolf armor?
Dig a hole as deep as you want, as long as you have the stamina you can sprint into any vertical ledge in the game and jump up it.

Pretty sure they don't put silver veins on your starter island. Anyone get lucky and get veins on their first island?
Spam the jump button and you can climb any slope. Getting stuck in a hole isn’t really a thing. Hitting enemies like wolves is wonky when on uneven terrain like inside a mining pit so if you see/hear them coming jump out of your pit and fight them on even ground.
I’d recommend fully outlining the silver before you start harvesting it.
They’re all kind of a wishbone.. shape. Makes it easier to know when you’re done if you can see it all.
