Hey guys, Rumsey here with a pretty cool method I figured out to farm mass amounts of wood in Valheim in very little time. I created this super efficient method earlier in my play-through and was surprised nobody else had showcased it yet, so I decided to learn how to create and edit videos to show you guys how you can do the same. If you find this to be cool or useful in your Valheim world, show this video some love and I’ll continue making time-saving content for you!
Much love and thanks for watching 🙂

This is an amazing tree farm. I have noticed that you get around twice the wood by using the elder power, have you tried it?
I liked your video for when you trashed your mic lol
Love the jokes about the audio quality! That made me laugh! 😂
Great video man <3
damn and i thought you were legit recording this in front of a waterfall. Illusion ruined good sir!
Best farming method
Hit F5 then type imacheater then type spawn wood 9999999 farming done lmfao
I don't understand how this is supposed to "skip wood age".
Have you tried just using log poles as your barrier
Great wholesome video, with a great system. I'm sure other comments mention it but the elder power would boost your output even higher. I hope this video gets the recognition it deserves and you can continue making content. Best of luck!
Nice – so making a wood farm world would be worth it.
Can you one for farming stones?🤓
Make this man Famous so he can buy a mic!
I know the feeling though, I used a Broken Sony Headphone turned into a Mic for a few years.
The distance is to make a square with those wood floors (2×2) (4pcs total) and you can put one sapling on each corner
terraforming can kill your FPS and world ; I did this tree farm on my original world and my frames went down to 15
one of the things i do when i do similar but without the box, is i hit every tree from the bottom on the way to the top once or twice that way they collpase and chain much easier then before and helps prevent the chain from stopping midway
probably the best valheim video ive seen. no clickbait, a good amount of humor and a butt load of information. thanks mate
Oh come on man, 10 more seconds and you get your 10 minutes adv…. Im going to subscribe to you just because you enfuriated me.
Welfare Mic, that's funny, and got a sub from me. Nice video, keep it up!
So you used the Minecraft water farm lmaooo
Im going to ty this because so far I mad a new world and have been farming wood from there to bring back to my main play through
Great video ! Gonna make a massive one of these to see what kinda craziness I can get up to.
There's also a smaller scale version of this that you can do.
Find a flat spot, dig a spot that's to your liking, dig it pretty deep, then plant trees around the out side of it, place core would scaffolding around the out side of the trees, so that when you start chopping they all fall into the hole you dug! Don't forget your elder buff 😛
you're funny, i enjoy your monotone jokes
Would making a raised platform a the top (so you can chop towards the upper part of the tree) allow you to have greater influence on the direction that the tree falls? Or is ground angle the only thing that really has any bearing?
GGs man
this is so satisfying in so many ways
i hope you get a better mic but i subscribed anyways because i enjoy your efficient approach to gaming and i want to see more!
sort of made a farm like this by accident, definitely a great method if you need lot of wood, unfortunately doesn't level up your axes skill though:(
Fire!
Saplings need space around themselves AND sky opening. Surrounding treebranches will shelter the saplings not yet grown and kill them.
Audio was kinda bad but honestly dude you were informative and the video wasn’t boring at all. Can’t wait to see your content after you’ve grown a little. Got a sub from me for sure.. keep releasing this stuff. Lol
Great method and great video! Keep it up man!
"Or you can spend this time to dislike and flame my video" LOL It's pretty good, and far better than I've done so far, so TY for the idea.
Would digging not be more effective, as you wouldn't spend the stone to build the walls? Or would they not grow?
There's a super easy way to remove background noise with audacity. It works on limited audio formats, so extract the track from video or record the mic track with audacity. Under filters-noise removal click button noise profile. Do that on a silent recorded part to teach the software to recognize the static noise. Then select whole track and repeat it twice.
Nice. I will try this in the future. my group spends way too much time lumberjacking ^^
cheat engine is more efficient
If you're going to cheat and cheese just to min max, why not just flip F5 and type in the correct words? "Imacheater"
Noone is going to do this, who would ruin the entire vacinity of a base with that? Chop wood, haul it with a cart like it was intented, and spare the enviroment
Way I see it, your mic was good enough it didn't sound like you were talking into a potato and I could understand you. It's fine. As an aside, I almost never raise ground to meet an existing height from above. Always start from ground level, and look up to the top of the raised area. Lets you raise to any height with 1 click instead of 3 or 4.
Nice vid dude, been trying to do something like this but hadn't tried the enclosing walls yet – you can also super speed this up utilising troll harvesting too I'd reckon – you want one of the "unarmed" trolls though as their ground pound thing deals with the stumps too
Wood age lol its stone age
Your mic made me feel nostalgic, like a 2009 Youtube tutorial! Anyways, great tips man
LACK OF EXPERIENCE AND POOR AUDIO QUALITY! downvoted
The hoe raise ground method also applies directly to edge of Plains biome barley farm that is actually free of threats. May have to go HIGH though due to storm surge waves.
Fun idea and enjoy the video, but you are certainly not going to have this completed in 2.5 in game days as you suggested… Cultivator required to plant seeds which you have to find enough by chopping trees.. Need 5 bronze to make cultivator. Need antler pickaxe from first boss to collect bronze + 5 cores to make smelter + copper to make forge
Good video guy
Ive seen others put a core wood log "fence" behind the top level of trees so they always fall forwards into the ramp.
noise gate filter in obs is free and will probably get rid of the static
6:59 lol man almost got crushed
"Skip the wood age…" Uhh, where do I get all the saplings to make this idea work without chopping down a metric ton of trees in the first place. Cool idea, but I think I'm missing the step where you easily get the saplings.
