It turns out you can duplicate items in Valheim. That’s right, just like Cyberpunk, there is a Valheim item duplication exploit.

It’s going to get a little tricky to do the Valheim duplication exploit though, you’re going to need to know how to reveal hidden files on your computer, access appdata, save and replace character files. It’s risky business and you could lose your character or your items, so be careful!

The character file and the world file are separate, so you can put items away and copy back in the character file that had those items. It’s the best Valheim item duplication cheat so far. As of right now this is the only answer to how to duplicate items in Valheim.

Now you know the item duplication exploit in valheim. It’s one of the best Valheim exploits / Valheim cheats in the game right now. If there was some super rare item you wanted a copy of, now you can make it, or as many as you want.

  2. Soooo, if its duping the items you put in the chest then how is the item count off after you logged back in? your inventory count doesnt match what you put into the chest at the start seeing you had no duplicates…. you only had 16 logs before you started, now you have an extra 20 in your inventory after logging back in?

    1. Have the items you want to dup in the character inventory

    2. Log out

    3. Copy YourCharacterName.fch & paste in another location (This has the items in the character's inventory)

    4. Log back in

    5. Put the items in a chest

    6. Log out

    7. Delete the YourCharacterName.fch from the game folder (This no longer has the items in the character's inventory)

    8. Copy the YourCharacterName.fch from the other location & paste back into the game folder

    9. Log back in – You should now have both the items in the character inventory & the items in the chest

    10. You don't need to copy the .old file. The .old file is not changing or updating

    11. Always check the time under the date modified of the YourCharacterName.fch to verify what is being deleted/copied/pasted

    12. If you delete the YourCharacterName.fch by mistake & can't undo, you should be able to restore it from your recycle bin

  4. After losing everything to a stupid glitch, this is what I am doing to get back to the point I lost… thank you! Need to avoid all temptation to do this beyond my pre-glitch progression when I sort myself out

  5. Hit F5, type "imacheater", then type "spawn [item] [quantity]" without the brackets or quotations, obviously. Such as, spawn Stone 50. It spews 50 stone onto the floor. No need to mess with files.
