Now that you have claimed your bed it will show up on the map. when you chop up a tree always stand near the end that way if it rolls wont roll on you. building a roof in this can be a pain thats why its best to build small buildings if they are to big then you run into all kinds of problems. a lot of people are having problems with roofs trying to figure out how to build them without them falling down. i think if i had this i would just build a bunch of small buildings not try and build one big one.
Just a few FYI's in the bench you can repair tools and armor and it doesn't cost any resources (the flashing hammer next to the craft list), now you can craft a spit for over the fire (in the hammer build menu) so you can cook meat but keep an eye on it the first sizzle is done the second is coal, might need to try replacing doors (set them back a lil) might make it so you don't have to jump to get in. Nice progress keep up the good work and have fun!

LOL I am the same about the poles!! That would drive me nuts knowing it wasn't right, even though I'd only see it once a day!! For windows try using the half walls 🙂 Also, there is terraforming in the game, you've unlocked it now with the workbench, you have a hoe 😀 Go forth and redevelop your land mighty Destiny 😀
Apparently, there's a bunch of build tips on the discord server, I haven't seen it personally, but it's meant to be there (I will join if I pick the game up), but the fire is going to be a pain to maintain from what I've seen 🙁 I hope they do something with that 🙂
