  1. You say a lot of things are annoying (a lot) but they are almost all self inflicted: running through a dense forest with a cart "theres so many trees in the way", no shit. Builds a 2×2 house and puts a 1×2 bed and crafting table "I cant get in!", really? I like you're youtube videos but your nigh infuriating to watch as a streamer lol

Anyway, good vid, i'm thinking of getting this game. And thanks for the houseboat ideas in the forest, made me actually more interested in playing it years after i bought it.

  2. Here are some tips to help you cut grind farket, as spoiler free as possible.
    – Upgraded pick axe gives more ore per break (meaning resources are being wasted with un-upgraded pick)
    – It is much easier to set up a small camp near your distant resources, build a bed, campfire, and portal and some quick barricades for rested bonus and quick transport other than when you carry metal back to base. You can break down the portal when done and move it.
    – It can be faster to move your klin/smelter/forge to the resource than moving the metal to the base, craft what you need then take all your supplies back through portal and set back up.
    – The building system is all weight based, every building material has a different weight it can support and it can inherit strength from connected peices on the side, notice the color of the building piece (blue is foundation, and it will shift from green to red as its ability to support is lessened) I will tell you the building system is very good once you understand the support structure, it has very little limitations on what you can do with the pieces apart from having proper support structure. Things get much deeper after iron.
    – you can completely flatten land with a combination of the pick axe, hoe, and raise tool.
    – cooked neck, meat, and red mushroom are the best early game food combinations until you get better cooked foods.
    – Your map is seeded and procedurally generated, it will be different than anyone elses unless they happen to use your seed.
    – the middle and high tier boats have storage capacity, the raft is not really reccomended except for a body/boat recovery vehicle if you die. (all material for the boat and your body will float on the water if it gets broken and you die)
    – The crafting station has a 3d sphere of influence, any items dropped on the ground in that sphere will never despawn, items outside the range will despawn after a few days.
    – bore can be lured into a fence, throw a bunch of mushrooms on ground and they will tame and then be able to breed. you can leave a huge stack on the ground as long as it is within range of crafting station it wont despawn and bores will slowly eat at the stack.
    – Building a chimney and proper ventilation makes fire always work.
    – Hold mouse over foods to see detailed info on what they provide.
    – When raising ground with hoe (stone consumption) you can aim really high on the slope and it will fill up much higher saving insane amounts of stone if you need to raise a large area.
    – I highly recommend you main base be very close to water so you can have a dock. Mid game has tons of boating.
    – Greylings hate fire, place a camp fire to make the weaker ones stay back.
    – always set up bed/campfire for distant journeys, you can change your spawn point making item recovery far less frustrating. It takes very little time to set up micro bases. My world so far has like 20 small bases each with a teleporter to the main base and basics at the camp.
Ill post more when I think of it but this is some good starter tips.
