Maybe test things. There is a ladder addition to stairs. There is 4 meters tall door called a gate. You can level normal ground but there is stone below and you need a pickaxe to go through it. The moaning when the solution is right front of your face.🤦🏻♂️ Just not willing to read and test what these things are. I didn't need to go to any wiki just playing the game and reading the in-game tips. I think. The building can be a bit frustrating, but once you learn the system it's fast if you have resources on hand. Though the snapping needs more tolerance it's a bit pixel sharpshooting.
I found that building with beams faster to frame the house then just place everything on place. I build a second house in about 30 mins after lumbering around hauling resources around 30 mins. Core wood that can be lumbered without better axe can be harvested from the dark forest. And there is a shorter pole that you use when the longer 2 meter pole doesn't fit in your half meter hole.
And the thing is, I get the frustration with bad mechanics sometimes, but this is early access. Meaning things are not going to be perfect. They will use the feedback they get and improve on these things. I just don't think you get how annoying it is to hear you constantly complain over extremely minor inconveniences. Like these are little nit pick sort of things, but you act like it's the worst thing ever. Most of it can easily be circumvented by just learning the mechanics and getting used to it.
I normally don't get riled up, but the way you behave sometimes is really bad. The way you blame the game. Your comments, like how you suspect the game is a case of "the emperor's new clothes" or something. Over things that are so simple and easy to solve, you are going to diss the game already … just like that? It's rude and uncalled for.
A big portion of this video is just you whining about how the building works, when you would probably enjoy yourself more if you learned to just stop being so negative and learned how the mechanics work. Even all the people in chat were calling you out, tell you to go to bed, or your angry and need a twix (edit: snickers actually I think) lol. At what point do you decide to walk away take some deep breaths, come back with a clear mind and stop whining.
Simcity had some of the most annoying mechanics, arguably worse than this … and you seemed to work around those just fine in your videos. But no, this is the game you whine constantly over, cause you have to look at face you want to place a block on. Have you never played minecraft, got news for you that super popular game has the same mechanics.

And watching how you build your base which is not bad there is a better way to do it.
First start off with a foundation of flat floors. Then why in the perimeter of the floor with the beams attached to it horizontally to form an outline. Next, build vertically and horizontally with just beams and posts and use it as a skeleton framework. By doing it this way all your walls stairs and everything will lineup perfectly and putting on balconies will be a lot easier.

As frustrating as this experience was Skye still managed to make my house look like a dumpster by building an impressive Viking house (I'm not jealous)

Well that long hall(talll hall) would have put most saxons and norse to shame. Still dont see why my entire clan is playing this game though, Im with Skye, seems a bit eeh.
The problem with games like this they make them to f#@king grinding and not fun, older gamers will know what I'm talking about unfortunately most young games this is normal.
Very similar to conan exiles but I guess the viking theme is what draws ppl. Conan Exiles is a much better game in every aspect and offers way more. Until they add something that conan exiles doesn't I think skye should skip this game.

This game runs like BUTTER on my pc.. your FPS is NOT the game well not 100% lol its not optimised but it seems your pc is not as much of a beast as you think.
