In todays Valheim guide I show you how to survive the mountain biome. If you enter the mountain in Valheim you will take frost damage because you will be freezing. You can stop freezing using 3 tips and tricks. Firstly you can craft camp fires to stay warm but these will get extinguished by snow. Secondly you can craft frost resistance mead using a queen bee from the starting area in the Meadows to craft a beehive which will produce honey. The honey can then be used with a thistle from the dark forest, bloodbags from leeches in the swamp biome and a greydwarf eye to craft frost resistance mead base in a cauldron. This can then be added to a fermenter to create frost resistance potions that make you immune to frost damage and stop you freezing in the mountain’s biome. After you can survive frost damage you can then craft yourself a wolf armor cape which gives frost resistance. To craft a wolf cape you need a wolf trophy, wolf pelt and silver. I will show you where to find silver in Valheim in this guide. You need the wishbone from the 3rd boss Bonemass to find the silver location to mine, the silver ore must then be smelted to silver ingots, then you can craft a wolf cape for permanent resistance to frost damage. This will help with the 4th boss Moder. You can also make silver wolf armor but it uses allot of silver to craft!

Valheim is a new RPG survival game set in a huge open world that can be played solo or co-op by 1-10 players and optional PVP mode with action combat. The open world is procedurally generated and inspired by viking culture. Valhiem was developed by Iron Gate AB and published by Coffee Stain Publishing. It features a combat system with unique skills, item crafting and weapons, house building where you can create settlements, castles, and mead halls. In Valheim you must summon and defeat vengeful primordial bosses of myth and legend, and collect trophies to progress and craft new powerful items.

  1. Tip: Try to take out wolves from a distance with your bow before they get to you, as he says wolves will destroy you if you're new to the mountains. When shooting the bow you have a chance to crit them while in sneak and you have a chance to stagger them easily as well.

  2. I've discovered how to teleport ore from anywhere in the world without portals and to never lose any of your gear again:

    1. gather supplies, create a new world and build a base right at the spawn with a chest
    2. create a new character, log into your new world and park them right in front of the chest
    3. log out, log into your main world as your new character then send them to your main base and park them in front of the chest you want to be your drop box.

Now you never have to transport ore ever again, whatsoever. you can be in the bottom of a sunken crypt, at 450 weight and half mined, and magically unload whatever you want into your drop box at home, simply by logging out, logging into your second world and dropping things off in the dropbox.
You can even have a workbench and forge ready to repair your gear.
If you're quick enough, you can also prevent yourself from ever losing anything ever again. by just logging out and back into your backup world and dropping your shit off.

If I'm the first one to figure this out, feel free to make a video about it and you're welcome!

  3. You can destruct the houses. Just place down a workbench and have your hammer in hand. When doing so the beehive will fall to the ground and die without shooting a single arrow.

  4. I know this game is really popular but it makes no sense to me to make a material only available in the areas you almost can't go to without the proper item made with that material.
