Valheim Review | Trash or Tremendously good?

Valheim is an early-access open-world Viking themed survival game released on february the second 2021. This game features both solo and co-op play with up to 10 players and it seems really promising. But is it really a good game? or is it all just a massive hype train?

  1. A lot of these grievances are pretty subjective related to skill. I assume you've also never done any survivalists activities in real life. Try eating only berries in the woods. You'll enjoy shitting your brains out via diarrhea.

  2. dont forget equiping your weapon or tools gives stam regen penalties. having a long rested buff, and making your way to fermenting stam poitions with really good foods like fish and soups very crazy on how much stam you can manage

  3. Protoxx do a poll and ask your viewers again if they'd like a play through or just general game review, because I know I'm interested in that and it'll also be a way for your channel to increase in size

You can increase your characters weight by purchasing a belt from the Merchant Npc, increasing your weight from 300 to 450. it may not seem like much, but it helps.

  5. I usually don't like survival games but I saw this on steam unknowing it was the internet's current hype. My interest was peaked and I've spent 7+ hours exploring and building a base in the meadows alone already.

  6. Man I want to watch this video, but I am scared of spoilers. I am planning on getting this at some point though. Just have to convince one of my friends to join, but he is a slave to WOW, despite 100% not liking it just been playing a long time.

  7. As a survival game fan (started whit ark, conan, good old atlas, rust, forest and now valheim i think the game has a lot of potencial and i can see myself coming back to it, just like i go back to previously listed ones.

  8. Prother, (protoxx-brother), do you have a dedicated server established yet for your community on this game? Let’s get it. I own it and would love to play with other people! Solo becomes a bit droll.

Edit: come on, the bosses are totally giant piñatas 😂

  9. the more you advance and progress you will get a lot of stamina and health.
    i reached over 220 health

For the weight you can buy a belt from the merchant that increases your carry weight.
Also crafting carts is handy to transport stuff around.

You can use a hoe to make a path through the landscapes.

Great video to introduce someone to this game!

  10. really enjoy your content, however this review is a bit rough. the majority of your complaints/dislikes are resolved by progressing in the game. It's like playing terraria and complaining that you can't fly… but if you would have actually played more than a few hours, you would know you get to fly in the mid game. Similarly, most of the complaints you've got for this game are all resolved by progressing past "level 1". I look forward to more content from you, cheers.

  11. Hi protoxx, just a heads up that you can upgrade your weight. Find the trader in the black forest. You'll need a good amount of gold to buy it (around 800-900 if memory serves). You can get good gold via troll caves early on.

Feel free to check out the wiki to pinpoint him.

  12. Good price, pretty game. But let's be real fellas. Valheim is for survival homebodies. The game has potential. But as of now, the AI is exploitable, the combat is lackluster, and (other than trees) there is NO real danger. If you die, you get a gravy stone with all your items neatly packed inside? This is a game I really want to like, OSRS vibes and all. But when I disrespect Eikthyr, the first boss, completely naked with a wooden club, kill a cave troll by cycling in and out of his spawn, and get armor that makes even Greydwarf Brutes hit like wet noodles within 2 hours? I begin to loose faith, brothers.

  13. I saw no trailer about this game, didn't pay attention to any announcement, I just saw a lot of people on my steam friend list playing it so I checked the review, I liked what people said about it, I got it because I had 17 euros on my Steam wallet and had 30 hours in a week, which is a lot reported to my schedule. While writing this comment I got attacked by a swarm of Greydwarves in my base because there is no way to pause the game in solo mode and I wish they will add this option, so I had to stop tipping and defend myself. This is the first review I watched and I haven't read any guide or watched other videos about this game until now because I wanted to discover things by myself. I haven't beaten the second boss yet, still upgrading my armor and expanding my base.

  14. The biggest drawback is that the game completely shits out on you if you have a decent sized base and a friends on with you. Desync and lag through the fucking roof. But that’s stuff they can fix. Other than that, it’s a lot of fun so far.
