Valheim Gameplay Guide for solo Combat players. This Valheim video guide will show you where to find the 2nd boss location in Valheim and how to summon the 2nd boss using ancient seeds. You need two ancient seed to summon the elder boss. To obtain the elder seed you must kill a greydwarf nest or greydwarf brutes in the black forest location. Use the ancient seed to summon the second boss. The elder boss is a giant tree that has a weakness to fire arrows, you can easily defeat it by using fire and using the pillers as cover. I will also show you how to build and sail a raft in Valheim too since the elder boss often spawns on its own island. You can easily farm the Elder Boss to level your combat skills really fast!

Got lucky and found the merchant plus the elder summoning in my starting island while just walking around.
ESO – please, pretty please – what is the key command to leave custom map markers on the map?
It's not listed in key settings and I've tried every mouse click option I can think of.
I like to stand on the spawn point and spam the Stag breaker for the AOE damage
I found the Vegvisir inside a burial chamber
My elder location is literally 5+ days of hiking away from my base, assuming it's land the whole way. It's over the curve of the planet view map. The mobs between it an me are 1-2 shotting me through bronze.
I've found 2 other shrines but they both tell me that the Elder has already been discovered on my map and won't give me a 2nd (hopefully closer) boss. I'm screwed, might restart on a new world.

Bruh when I fought him I ran into the forest to heal and 6 greydwarf spawned, and then a troll, and then a wraith. Safe to say I logged out for a bit I was scared 😂😂😂
I like how you snap to the clip of him dieing and you have the 'No skill drain' debuff.
No need for the fires or anything like that, and honestly a bow isn't necessary and slows down an already long fight.
You do want to fight him at the summon spot. Make sure you get behind a pillar until he comes to you after being summoned. Get close so he stomps, dodge the stomp, then get in some hits depending on how much stamina you have left. I suggest using a bronze sword. As soon as he summons the roots, (wait until they actually appear as they are proximity based so if you run right away, you'll bring them with you) run to the pillar across from you. Hide there until he comes over your way (destroying all the roots in the process), then run out, dodge the initial stomp, get in your swings, rinse and repeat.
Super easy method. I literally just tested it before posting this so I know it works and he still behaves this way. Unless a root gets in a lucky swing, you shouldn't even take any damage this way. I was only hit twice, both of which were lucky root swings and didn't do much at all.

A note on sailing, the first speed is paddling using the tiller and rudder. You can "sail" into a head wind with this, but on the raft it is so god awful slow. I mean honestly skip the raft entirely, its to slow even with a tail wind and full sail. Really shouldn't be leaving your island before "bronze age" anyways. So just wait and make the Karve as it is massively better than the raft. Its speed is much better even in a head wind and has 4 cargo slots. HP wise the karve was at about 1/2 HP after taking 3-4 attacks from a sea serpent and a little storm dmg.
