Valheim – Server Tour After a Week and a Half

In today’s video, I give a tour of our Valheim village, which includes a bunker, the Bifrost Bridge, meat house, tavern, lighthouse, dock, wall, and farm. We’ve been cutting a lot of trees, mining a lot of ore, leveling many roads, and building a lot of buildings.

Valheim is a brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. Battle, build, and conquer your way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage! A battle-slain warrior, the Valkyries have ferried your soul to Valheim, the tenth Norse world. Besieged by creatures of chaos and ancient enemies of the gods, you are the newest custodian of the primordial purgatory, tasked with slaying Odin’s ancient rivals and bringing order to Valheim.

  1. I really don't see the appeal of this game, the developers must be paying all these streamers under the table to plaster this everywhere. I got bored with it in under 1 hour. Its literally the same as every other survival game, just reskinned to a Fortnite level resolution.

  2. 14:35 I love it when I find stones like that. I'll build my house right in the middle then use the stones as part of my defenses with walls connecting them and a gate right in the middle of each wall so I have 5 directions to exit my home.

  3. The world looks great! I've been playing for about 25 hours myself and I love the game so far. Love your compound, especially the Bright Room. One suggestion, you've got a lot of unroofed structures like your wall gates. I've found that any wood structure will lose hp over time if it isn't a stake wall or covered by thatch roofing. That's why some of your walls and floors are grey and warped looking. Of course, if that messes with the aesthetics, no big deal.

  4. Walter, I just want to say that you, Trik, Shack, and Cohh were huge influences in convincing myself to get this game even though I was worried I'd get bored 10 hours in. Spoilers: I haven't. Building is fun, collecting resources is relaxing as fuck, the combat is surprisingly good, and every little bit of progression I get keeps me in a very happy state. Everyday I battle with with depression and anxiety, but whether I'm playing Valheim, or watching someone else play, I just have a darn good time. So I want you to keep making this content as long as it's viable for you.

    And thank you.
