Iron Ore is only only accessible to people who have killed the Black Forest boss and obtained the Swamp Key, Once you have obtained the Swamp Key you’ll have to make your way to a Swamp biome and find a Crypt dungeon with locked doors, once you have found your way inside you will see Muddy scrap piles, break these down with a Pickaxe to get Iron Scrap.
