Valheim – Why is comfort so important?

I’m getting super into Valheim and today I decided to extend the house, a little bit. This increased my comfort, allowed us to place a bed for a safe spawn point and increase our comfort level. But why is comfort level so important in Valheim? The more comfort you have, the longer your rested bonus is. Rested increases health and stamina regen, so it’s very useful to have.
