Valorant Pros RAGE at LCQ DISASTER

The Valorant NA LCQ has become a complete disaster, with Riot not making pros play on a server at what was supposed to be a LAN event, which has led to massive technical issues and huge delays that have pro’s furious.

The Valorant NA LCQ was already scuffed, having had to change its entire format after a screw up by Riot kept both Australian teams from even attending. But now the teams that did turn up for the LAN event found out that it was suddenly not a LAN event at all, but that they would be playing Valorant on LA servers…which has caused massive technical issues and ruined games all day.

Disconnects and massive server lag have potentially changed the outcomes of entire series, taking away amazing, game winning rounds from pros like LG Aproto, and 100 Thieves, Gen.G and Xset have all dealt with huge lag issues and disconnects ruining games, leaving pros like Hiko stunned that this was happening at what should have been a LAN event.

Even pros who weren’t at the event saw the disaster it had become on the Twitch stream and lashed out, with Sentinels’ Shahzam saying he felt horrible for pros forced to play in these conditions. And since this is just day one of the NA LCQ, and the pros are still going to be forced to play on servers as some kind of insane protocol Riot and Valorant are blaming on COVID, we can only expect more of the same today.

  1. Just watched the clip with aproto from caster POV. They literally try to brush it off as if it was a broadcast issue and explain what happened. What a fucking tragedy.

  2. What did piss me off – are these two sellout casters who did'nt even say a word about the server issue… For people who've seen such stuff in their life it's a telling sign to not have any deal with organization who've picked up a sucked-up people for a public job.

  3. Thats the reason i cant take a FPS-Game serious as an eSport Title if it no Dedicated Server.
Lobby System maybe a good thing on Consoles, but not on PC. Too many limitations.

  4. I get the online servers thing but the players themselves have said that riot is handling the covid mess as good as they can. Riot cant control covid guidelines and shit its not an excuse. Some ppl r so delusional
