The Valorant NA LCQ has become a complete disaster, with Riot not making pros play on a server at what was supposed to be a LAN event, which has led to massive technical issues and huge delays that have pro’s furious.
The Valorant NA LCQ was already scuffed, having had to change its entire format after a screw up by Riot kept both Australian teams from even attending. But now the teams that did turn up for the LAN event found out that it was suddenly not a LAN event at all, but that they would be playing Valorant on LA servers…which has caused massive technical issues and ruined games all day.
Disconnects and massive server lag have potentially changed the outcomes of entire series, taking away amazing, game winning rounds from pros like LG Aproto, and 100 Thieves, Gen.G and Xset have all dealt with huge lag issues and disconnects ruining games, leaving pros like Hiko stunned that this was happening at what should have been a LAN event.
Even pros who weren’t at the event saw the disaster it had become on the Twitch stream and lashed out, with Sentinels’ Shahzam saying he felt horrible for pros forced to play in these conditions. And since this is just day one of the NA LCQ, and the pros are still going to be forced to play on servers as some kind of insane protocol Riot and Valorant are blaming on COVID, we can only expect more of the same today.

That’s horrible
If I was aproto, after that I would need a 5 min break to fix my broken equipment
If I was aproto I honestly would have lost full.
all the drama around valorant More enertaining than actually watching valorant
Just watched the clip with aproto from caster POV. They literally try to brush it off as if it was a broadcast issue and explain what happened. What a fucking tragedy.
you know the game is close to being dead when these issues starts to happen……. may lord keep CSGO alive.
Hope these younger healthy guys don’t catch COVID. How will they survive a 99.98% survival rate?
@esport talk could you make a news about KiXSTAr please
Cant they roll back rounds in customs?
What did piss me off – are these two sellout casters who did'nt even say a word about the server issue… For people who've seen such stuff in their life it's a telling sign to not have any deal with organization who've picked up a sucked-up people for a public job.
Anywhere but LA lmao
Today is sad man, so much heartbreaking news and lcq being set on fire
Riot is a horrible company. Not sure why anyone supports them. League is basically made on trash code and now riot is acting like the ccp on valorant. Its pathetic
Thats the reason i cant take a FPS-Game serious as an eSport Title if it no Dedicated Server.
Lobby System maybe a good thing on Consoles, but not on PC. Too many limitations.
riot lol
lcqlgbtq
stop this covid bs already and do proper LANs or nothing at all.
Now they compeletely scratched off Day 2
If I was aproto I would’ve needed a 10 minute break after being fucked that hard
I get the online servers thing but the players themselves have said that riot is handling the covid mess as good as they can. Riot cant control covid guidelines and shit its not an excuse. Some ppl r so delusional
I hope riot bolted those desks down. If i was aproto i woulda flipped the fuck out of it. Wow.
some dota2 lan events played on online servers.. even majors.. btw.
I would've left
Valorant pros seem to cry about everything….
"How is he alive? How is he alive?" What a piece of crap.
That excuse at the end of the video is a lie… Why did all of today's games get postponed then? If ppl could play while quarantined… Today's games should have happened…
So after APAC LCQ now it's NA not what we expected from the developers of LOL
Riot making excuse how incompetence they are. They never optimize for low end PC and now they do fake LAN. Come on Riot.
If the teams are playing face to face anyways, why not make it a lan tournament?😂
lmao jake , indian teams play on 80-120 ping on Singapore servers 😂🤣, not sure this comes close to it.
They fked teams regularly but people didn't care since their favorite qualified
riot statement is BS, how about let the teams play on "real LAN" and if the players can't make it or "quarantined" then run it on virtual server np
I feel like people complaining about ”online servers on lan” dont really know how lan works…
Hello jake, would you like to comment on the development that COD does in fact have a white list, despite you many times saying there is no such thing. Just curious.
R.I.P KiXSTAr
Now they postponed day 2 because someone tested positive for COVID. Yeah this entire tournament is a black eye especially to a game that is a year into its competitive life.
Even in the APAC LCQ, Indian team GE faced a lot of issues.
GE playing on pings more than 70-80 while their Korean counterparts were playing on 40-45.
