It’s said that if you play Go Go Ackman on the Super Famicom, pigeons will flock to your house. Could it really be true?

  1. I knew this was false as soon as Tara said that cheap lead caused high frequencies to summon pigeons because none of that checks out scientifically, but this one is so specific and so random that I can't even begin to imagine who invented it, or why. The alleged facts being scientifically unsound, it is enough to fool a child on a playground, sure, but it would be nearly impossible for a child of playground age to come up with such a legend… Someone older and more experienced at making up bullshit that sounds like it could be true would have to have been behind it. So my best guess is someone's older sibling saw a bunch of pigeons hanging out outside while his or her younger sibling was playing Go Go Ackman and decided to troll him or her. "Hey OO-chan. You see those pigeons? You know why they're there? Well, I heard that Go Go Ackman…" That's literally the only scenario that I can come up with.

So overall, I loved this one! Perfect mix of 'plausible if you don't look too deeply at the facts' and 'strange to the point of being kind of creepy'. I honestly can't get enough of these video game mysteries!
