  1. I played an earlier version of this game on Itch, which was alright. The Discord community, however, were fucking assholes who couldn't stand any suggestions or criticisms of the game and I just sort of put it aside. It wasn't the developers who were jerks (at least, not that I saw.) Just like 2 or 3 random "fans" on their Discord server who think the best way to support a game is to make people not want to play it.

Has the game added any kind of starter tutorial yet? (EDIT: The bird is new, from perspective of the version I played.) Assuming that none of this has changed since I last played:

    – The normal-sized Greydwarves (rockboys) are scared of fire. They flee from standing torches, bonfires, and held torches. This doesn't affect the big rockboys or basically any other enemy. You can use the torch as a weapon to do super damage to rockboys, assuming you can hit them.

    – Surtlings (flaming guys) die instantly if they fall into water.

    – Rain will damage parts of your buildings that don't have roofs directly above them.

    – I thiiink you can throw the spear? The bow is better though. It's been a while, I don't quite remember the melee weapons.

  2. I feel like if a game doesn't take up much hard drive space without compromising presentation (which is probably easier with a visual style like this, granted) it has likely been made by people who know what they're doing. Sometimes it feels like data compression has become a lost art these days.

  3. FYI, that's how you hold spears. Shield out front, spear overhead, tip pointing forward and you get a lot more oomph when stabbing it down with that grip than you would just poking it forward. Also yeah, you can throw it.
