  9. Homebrew rules:

    Regiment: Gland Warriors – Gains +1 to advance and charge, +1 to WS & BS and if the unit charged or made a Heroic Intervention they gain +1 attack. If a unit of Gland Warriors rolls an unmodified 1 to an advance roll or leadership test the unit suffers one wound.

  11. 6:21 Sorry no! You think we speak of the gene sons of a primarch ,as a metaphor? Their DNA is completely re-written! Astartes are not human! They are a breed apart. An Astartes cannot impregnate a human female. Not even a female ogryn. It has been tried.
    You do not get such changes without changing the DNA. The body will reject the implants, no matter how many immuno-suppressants you use.

    You suppress the immune system.. cancers start developing. Its why we lose some in every batch. Their body rejects the implant , we suppress the immune system, before the implanted gland can secrete enough virus to start changing the DNA , cancers develop.

    Death is inevitable. My standing order is for Euthanasia. IDK about others. It is a horrific way to die. Every death is a stab to our hearts. W e get to know these children, hope for them ,cheer for them, only to have them end as a thing worse even than a chaos spawn.
    No science, or magic, known to man xenos or daemon can fix it. Believe me we searched!

    9:21 It can and has been done! Not full astartes , but the next best ting. Lorgar's daddy was one. The chaos spawn that started the ball rolling!
    An adult can be made as close to an astartes only a magus biologus would see the differences , or another astartes.
    The technology stil exists , some where in the vaults of Mars.
    I don't think the toasters lost it. it would take a bit of searching and a lot of incentive, but i'm betting it can be recovered.

    No! Not only no, to the warp and back NO! Mutants, created on purpose on the say so of a Lord Inquisitor and some toasters!
    That's all we needed! If chaos discovered them.. it would take Astartes to put them down.
    NO! Too dangerous!
    I'm betting longevity is not their best thing. Why do idiots insist on extra musculature? it is not needed! Better oxygenation for enhanced endurance , enhances senses, faster reaction times. These are needed. Extra muscles are a burden. You need a frigate load of calories just to keep them alive.

    Weight ! Extra muscles are burden to the skeleton and they reduce response time . By the time their brain has signalled all that meat.. the nids ate them.
    Didn't you say only 3 survived? There you have it. No better than regular guardsmen.

    The Lord Inquisitor was rightly put on trial for this. Should have executed him. If the inquisition starts ordering new strains at will, humanity is ended.
    Why not cybernetic enhancements? Because that would putt hem under toaster control ! Personal glory, personal power, prompted this. The good of the Imperium was not even in the running.

    Inquisitors are supposed to act for humanity. For The Emperor, who is the pinnacle of humanity, same thing!
    We don't need more abhumans, created on a toaster lab no lees.
    Watch them. watch them close ! What idiot though upping their aggression was a good thing? I forbid battle drugs to my sons. On penalty of vivisection, they are forbidden!

    I will have no drug addicted idiots ,among my own. Enhanced aggression means poorer thinking , poor planning , poor execution of the plan.
    On this Me Rogal Leeman Robute and jagatai were of the same mind. No battle drugs! Ever! Pain? Pain is a good thing, reminds you you're not the Emperor come again. Keeps them humble, keeps them smart.

    I have expounded at length, on my views on the quality of the recruits these days. Most are border line idiots, you add battle drugs to befuddle what is left of their wits..you end up with a lot of dead Astartes. Not a good thing.

  17. tomy geneticist ear it almost sounds like they are trying to develop a new base line upon which they could build yet another evolution in arms (like going from Thunder Warriors to Astartes to Primaris). Imagine if aspirant warriors were already enhanced by their biology – when you started to add the training, indoctrination, wargear and other biological avenues this just seems a no-brainer (especially with Cawl stalking around being creeping and manipulating *things*)
