  1. that top right hand corner hamtaro always distracts me xD.
Honestly FF8 been waiting since i joined the game. So like 1.5 years now haha. I've also been waiting for nier re-run. Don't understand why it's never happening. Especially nier is collaborating with everything else and had their anniversary. Ouch. wotv god doesn't hear my prayers.
Also I was a secondary school teacher too but I no longer teach for government public school. I now teach evening college and tutoring college. Not sure what it's like in other country but high school teacher in Australia is terrible. 🤣
I also agree with the English language thing. Honestly English is so difficult and most of the time doesn't make sense. It's a good language to learn poorly and still get around because you can make all sorts of mistakes and still be understandable. It's the reason why it's the international language. Many other languages are way better designed in my opinion but is too specific. Not much room for mistakes. People think Chinese is difficult but no Chinese only looks it's hard to write. The language itself is quiet straight forward and literal. English however oh god 1 word is so broad and can mean so many things in all different scenario. Then you have to learn so many vocabulary. Even January to December is already 12 new vocab. Eeeek~~ OMG my comment is as long as your video.

  3. I like Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks but my favorite series of all time is the uhhh well shoot… Daniel Abraham… the long price quartet? The character growth, politics, maturity of the entire series is really nice… I was introduced almost chronologically to the Sanderson stuff starting with Warbreaker, Elantris.. read most of the non-Stormlight YA novels too :p Haven't been playing WOTV lately but checked in to see you're still doing good. Keep it up!

  4. Way of Kings was excellent, Words of Radiance also great, it started getting real draggy tho in Oathbringer and i eventually put down the series since that book was just so slow. Solid author tho, overall

  7. Really loved the teaching section, very interesting about admin being involved. We have pretty involved admin at my high school, but not at all in the teaching of courses, just in the running of the school and enabling us to do extracurriculars and trips etc. I always wonder if I end up moving if I'd have to take an elementary job, this calmed my fear around that a bit, although I'm sure you under sold how much work it was at the start! Luckily I'm a LST so I already have my hands in every subject, it's preparation perhaps! Edit: Thanks for having that whole section for me šŸ˜šŸ˜…

  10. It would be really cool if WOTV added some basic editing software or a way for you to view the manual battle post processing. Then you could watch it like it was an auto-battle.

  11. I've learned some pretty weird stuff that I ignored in English (mostly prononciations of some words). But, as a french-canadian, I can say that French also has it's share of stupid rules. šŸ™‚

  12. I will echo the stress of those tournaments. I only did one portion every draft and it was stressful. Making things line up. Seeing if i was available to run it. Then when things go sideways getting anxious about it. Like I was creating something that directly affected someone’s livelihood and it sucked when things didn’t go right.

In any rate, keep up you. You’re doing a fantastic job

  13. I absolutely hate FF8 (Still need to replay it), but I do love a lot of the characters in the game. I would really love to see Laguna, Rinoa, and even Squall (despite disliking his broody personality) I would love to see them in the game.

  14. First and foremost: I have never seen a thumbnail for a video and felt very confident my name would be mentioned. However, considering the amount I spam your streams/inbox with Sanderson material, the moment I saw a Sanderson book in the thumbnail I’m like ā€œyeah, probably gonna hear my name.ā€ Haha, Sanderson is top tier!!!

You recommended Malazan to me a couple months ago. I’ve got book one lined up and ready to read on my 20 hour flight to Japan. I’m stoked to jump into it.

As for teaching, I feel like fifth grade would be a lot more fun to teach than twelfth grade. I think a lot of the ingrained apathy some of these kids have is just too much. By twelfth grade, they have made up their minds as to whether they wish to excel at school, or coast their way to their HS diploma and skip college.

FF8 is a mixed bag. The junction system shatters the game if you play enough Triple Triad before the SeeD exam. Cranking out 3k damage before the first real mission in the game is nonsense. And considering the enemies scale to your level, you can breeze through the game by just avoiding random encounters. There was never a real need to grind for a boss battle.

But it was by no means a bad game. The romance subplot was sweet, the twists were decent, and Laguna’s tragic backstory makes me tear up every time. ā€œEyes on Meā€ makes the water works run, man!

As for WOTV, I wouldn’t be surprised if they demolish us with a ton of back to back collabs. The well has been dry the last few weeks. I’ll never forget when they hit us with P5 collab right after FF7 collab. So, FF8 after FMA collab wouldn’t surprise me.

Emptying my wallet for Rinoa, just saying.

  15. Dude, Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorite authors. I loved the Mistborn series, and how he designed the magic system for that series was fun to learn about and cool to imagine as I was reading through the books.

  17. Not exactly a full fledge instructor, however, as a part time teaching assistant and full time researcher, I can understand some of the responsibilities that come with educating new generation while being an inspiring figure for them to look up to, that you and Mysidia have to go through. Though, knowing that everything that we do play a part in making a brighter future is a good motivation for all of us educators.

  18. Not sure if you have ever read any novels from the Dragonlance series by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman (there's like a million of them), but they are kind of like Lord of the Rings, but the main 9ish book series is highly worth reading. Definitely recommend them if you have the time ever!
