Luigi may not be the one in the spotlight often (unless you consider the fact that an entire YEAR was dedicated to the green-guy, not to mention the on-going growth of his popularity that was achieved thanks to the “Luigi’s Mansion Series”, AND the fact that his role in the games post-2013 have gotten much bigger as time went on), but that can never stop the fact that he’s considered a top-tier character. Personality-wise… he’s a gentleman who reigns superior in every sense of the word (despite being a coward most of the time), and he’s the ONLY character who’s had enough currency to build a mansion of his very own. [Unlike The Castle that Mario built that one time…]
However… whenever it cones to saving his brother (or any other character) in a Haunted Mansion, he’s not particularly brave when it comes to facing their on-going challenges. The scariest enemies lurk around every waking corner, aimlessly pursuing the green man who wields a poltergust that can suck in ghosts. (Or proceed to slam them down on the floor in order to weaken their resistance a little.) But little do they know that the green boi has a few tricks up his sleeve, like… wait– is he using a STARMAN to take them out!?
Yes, you read that correctly… the fan-game I’ll be showcasing today will allow you to kill ghosts with the aid of a Starman, but that isn’t the only item that made a return this time around. Remember the “Item Boxes” from the Mario Kart Games? They’re in this fan-game to help you banish the many ghosts that you come across in this game, along with “Lightning Bolts” as well! (The lightning bolts allow Luigi to suck up ghosts for a limited time.) If the mere concept of game sounds a bit familiar to you, then don’t worry… this game plays it safe with it’s Pac-Man & Mario Kart-like elements. But when you download & play this fan-game for yourself, please keep in mind that every major element of this game remains experimental. “Luigi’s Mansion” may be quite big on exploration… but this game is all about attacking the ghosts. Grab a Lightning Bolt/Item Box when neccesary, and banish every ghost in sight in order for you to progress through each and every level! [The spacebar will be a GREAT help you in this fan-game.]
