Surprisingly many don’t know Oswald has been in the public domain since 1956, probably because Disney has never publicly admitted it. And as much as I’m happy they’re finally giving him attention, here’s to hoping they’ll still do it while following copyright law and accepting that Oswald IS free for the public to use too.

Really does suck that disney is trying to hard to restrict anyone from using the guy despite not doing anything with him in decades. Loved that cartoon rabbit since the early 2010s and knowing people are finding loopholes to use the guy while giving disney a well deserved middle finger warms my evil little heart.

great video! I was devastated learning that the Oswald cartoon was dropped, and then getting strange highly commercial advert uses of Oswald instead felt… very off. There are so many people in the world who love Oswald and want to give him what he deserves, the least Disney could do is allow them to do what they themselves won't!
