►Arenas came in Season 9 and it was super hyped up. But I feel like overtime, I realized the game mode isn’t really for me. Ontop of that, general interest in Aremas seems to be significantly less than anything else new added to the game. Today I’m joined by Staycation and Boom to talk about what went “wrong” with Arenas and what we’d like to see.

I really like arenas I hope they don't take it out, I hope they put more energy into it to flesh it out
there were some matchmaking problems when you were recording this it happened to me too

The other day I was playing BR pubs normally and suddenly I was playing with a random BALD wraith with almost 1k wins in arenas… I mean I almost have like 300 wins but that dude was very unusual
I will NEVER play arenas/ranked arenas because of these virgin ass teams that play rampart gibby and lifeline and literally headglitch and hold with turret the entire game. It ruins the idea and concept of it which is fast paced close range action without having to look around for people the whole game. That's why I don't play it.
In Australia, no one plays duos, during the day there are 500 people who are playing trios and 700 playing arena. At night, there are only 50 people in trios and 100-120 people playing arena.
I use arenas for warm-up. Like a next level firing range. But probably a for just a couple of games before br. I don’t play everyday and apex gets crazy

as a og season 0 player arenas is very nice and refreshing, i can have a gun that dosen't require tons of kills to kit up, ability's you can still buy. its just nice and calmer. also as a casual player, me and my buddys just wanna have quick back to back fights and mess around, and have br for comp grinding (because lets all face it, br is stupidly competitive, after getting plat. i got put into diamond back to back lobbies in br)
and most of the bugs people talk about (bad sbmm, no teammates, ect) i have never really had! sometimes yes i dont have a squad or vise versa. but for the most part its well made, i still dont know why people are talking about server issues, i almost never get kicked out of br or arenas
You don’t get the kills when you play areas. Or have it been like that?
People don’t like arenas because it exposes their bad gun skill. Most people just want to third party people that are low.

I don't care much for arenas I'll play it but only for the challenges and the event stuff and I honestly like the flatline it's just I'm a bit annoyed that they took the anvil receiver out
its like duos , some server have it populated some doesnt, in singapore arena is always full of players, yet nobody play duos, in europ ( frankfurt server) duos is populated while arena isnt as much, guess is just preference thing, and of course none of this extra game mode gonna take over the core of the game AKA battle royale game
i love arenas dude, its just fight and fight, no looting for 10m just to get dunked by third party every battle , no camping in the zone and get bursted by a team , and no hot drop and left alone cause both of you team left :v , additionally those who like hot drops to get into a fight quick should just que arena, cause they get to fight fast and no have to reque everytime they got killed
I want a TDM with endless respawn like he said, that's the only type of TDM that's constant fun imo
Nothing is wrong with Arena's per say, its the matchmaking that isn't making it fun. In BR you have a higher chance of winning or getting kills. You have more time to loot up and play around other teams. In Arena's its quicker and mainly a 1v1 teams fight so if you go against anyone of equal or better skill the mode loses it's flair quick.
People generally don't play Apex for a super tough sweaty match. It's not ALGS, you aren't playing for money. So most people don't bother with the mode even though its insanely fun and great mode.
Also it's the same with Duo's, it's fairly dead too because its no fun to solo que and people are all MLG try hard in those lobbies.
Arenas is fine if you like elimination rounds, my fave game mode in destiny. But I can see why the average gamer wouldn’t like it.
You know if you press down the crook wheel on a weapon you can change the scope to whatever you want no matter the upgrade level

I get 12 points if I win and if I lose it’s 14-20
arena ranked is busted im losing 24 ap for a loss and gain 12 for a win

It's still a thing. I won 12rp then 14 rp. Their mmr rp gain and loss is unclear. And because of the lack of clarity, makes it unattractive to grind.
They put different game mode in a arena cod domination or king of the hill from halo.. 5v5 death match
I like the arenas mode quite a bit. I especially like the ranked more than BR ranked because it's more structured.
But the gun price balancing and map design still need work imo. The two lane + jungle approach makes the matches feel pretty samey while at the same time I really enjoy that type of design.
No, I don't entirely know what I want out of the maps. Lol
Ranked arena point system is so stupid I’m in d1 and only gain 12 my friend is in pred and wins 108 per win even when we play together I still do gain over 12
