Biomutant is an upcoming action role-playing video game that is being developed by Experiment 101 and published by THQ Nordic. The game was first announced back in 2017, and was seen as possibly the next big open world RPG. Over time the hype for the project slowly died down as more delays and lack of communication circulated the project. Like a lot of other games you can blame part of the delay on Cyberpunk delaying himself.
No one wanted to compete with Cyberpunk
Maaan, I've been patiently waiting for the release date. My patience is running thin. But I want quality and quality takes time. I salute them. Now I can't wait for the PS5 version. No day one patch, perhaps?

This is essentially Rocket Raccoon the game
It looked mediocre and boring since the beginming, combat looked clunky, seems like it had no story at all besides being an excuse to do the things they wanted to do but that's fine, most Nintendo games don't have much story either and are pretty good, but this thing looks like a huge mess of slapped on mechanics with no actual solid direction or vision.

If you don’t wanna watch this monotone idiot talk. Here’s the real reason:
After many horrible game failures, Fallout 76, Control, Man of Medan etc
And after Cyberpunk 2077, THQ Nordic sees what’s going on with the gaming community and how toxic and divided developers can make their gamers/consumers feel.
Unlike CD Projekt Res however, THQN ain’t doing a crunch release. They are going over this game with a fine tooth comb and hand picking out all the bugs, glitches and even play testing it for anything gamers might find jarring or boring.
They realize how much of a flop 2020 has been and the “virus” isn’t an excuse. Believe you me, THQN is busting their balls to get this game out early 2021 and along with Dead Island 2, another game by a developer that’s been horrendously delayed, we probably won’t be seeing Biomutant for a while.
I guess it goes to show how low a developer can go when you have other developers actually putting time and work instead of rushing into things without thinking.
Biomutant IS coming out in 2021 and if this game cancels, we will have to deal with it.
I have this on pre-order. It is currently set for Feb 21 release according to EB Games here in Australia.
Happy to wait if the result is a better game.
But very much looking forward to it.
There’s only 2 reasons I personally think it’s taking so long
Reason 1: they didn’t want to compete with cyberpunk
Reason 2: the bugs and glitches are like how cyberpunk’s is
I'm still excited for this game… whenever it comes out. It looks as if it has the proper amounts of fun, goofy, serious, and action.

I can see it going either way, I really want this to be a good launch, delays can be great or they can be an early warning of a shitshow that is to come. The sheer amount of marketing targeted at preodering does scare me but it is the unfortunate nature of this business.
Don't preorder and hope for the best.

The only reason why I'm ok with this game not being out yet is because, I have other game I want to beat before I completely dive into this. I feel like this will be the only game I'll be playing for a few years.. lol

Amazon just cancelled my preorder for the collectors edition because of what they called storage problems, but this makes literally no sense
The oriental feel is totally gone now and it was what i was hyped for. After the lasted trailer it changed my idea in everything

After cyberpunk flopped, biomutant should probably just bail on the ps4 version and aim for a ps5/Xbox and hopefully get it done before ps6 comes out. If not just sell the idea to a more competent team.
