What Is Among Us? How Do I Play Among Us? – TLDR

Among Us originally released in June 2018, and devs said in a recent blog post that back in the early days, there would be times too few players would be online to even find a game at all.

Compare that to the most recent numbers, with about 70,000 – 110,000 players online per hour, and it’s no wonder Innersloth has announced they’ll be releasing Among Us 2 sometime in 2021 to add some key features and upgraded servers to handle the high population.

If you haven’t watched or played Among Us before, don’t worry too much, as it’s pretty easy to figure out what makes the game tick. It shouldn’t be long before you’re conniving with teammates to get ahead, whether you’re the Imposter or not, so let’s take a look at how it works.

In this video, we will answer: What is Among Us? How do I play Among Us? Can I play Among Us with friends?

  1. I played a game just like this a few years ago. It didn't have a name and there wasn't a spaceship. It just was an online chatroom. The company (don't remember the name) was paying people to play the game as part of research & development. There were two teams and one player was the imposter. The goal was to vote both the imposter off as well as all members of the other team. If all members of the other team were voted off, yet the imposter remained, then the imposter won. I hated the game because I would always be one of the first ones voted off. I think they paid $5 each time I played so I played it quite few times.
