  1. lil bit disappointed on your games news. So something like Runescape log in server crash is not big when they postpone updates to get everyone back out of stuck servers

  2. I mean, your character progress is never truly safe or even really "yours" in the first place in modern online gaming. You could just wake up one morning to read that the game you love and have sunk so many hours into is shutting down forever due to, oh I dunno, Losing their license to the IP, or some new jerk CEO being a total creeper, or just not staying out of the way and letting Brevik do what he does best, or a million other potential things that could have gone wrong that you may never even understand.

  3. As for the Harvest Change, personally I'm ok with it. I guess I'm a filthy casual these days cause I've never really been able to wrap my head around the intricacies of endgame crafting anyway and just long for the good ol days of "kill monsters! Get loot!" Truth is "picking up good loot" hasn't been a thing in PoE for a while now and that's probably one of my biggest issues with game currently. To even "run maps properly" I gotta look into "how do juice map?!?" I miss the simple days of boss farming in D2 for loot that dropped on the ground.
    Maybe I should just DL that Torchlight 3 thing and "make choo choo go boom" for a while.

  4. Particle effects: I don't like effects being much bigger than say, a D2 fireball. Maybe 1 or 2 effects like a frozen orb in D2. Much more than that is just needless noise that makes it unnecessarily hard to play on weak hardware. And the way it scales is nuts, because extra players with flashy abilities, mobs with flashy abilities… eventually the screen is just a fireworks show.

  6. I already stopped playing POE for there being way too many variables and features to keep track of and stay on top of to be "optimal". POE has morphed over time to become an OCD person's dream, and as a result it feels too much like a chore to play than it did a couple of years ago for those of us that don't like having to min/max every move and decision made in game. The game rewards efficiency and penalizes inefficiency. You also need to trade regularly or good luck with the time sink to get your character any significant power in a short time. Those of us that have careers don't have time to play the game 5+ hours, 6-7 days a week, so Harvest was a good idea to help players in this category. Harvest was yet another thing to keep track of, but it also provided incentive powerful enough to stomach through it, so I understand why some players are not happy with this change.

    After playing Project Diablo 2, I now know that an ARPG doesn't necessarily need to be as complex or have RNG as abysmal as POE's to be fun and keep me coming back for more. The pacing of game play and item progression in PD2 feels just right. I'm hoping D4 feels more like D2 and less like D3 and POE.

    That said, I'm curious what POE2 will be like. Will GGG continue with this hard-on for incessant RNG and hyper efficiency that we currently have in POE, or will they actually slow the game down a bit, consolidate some of the features/league mechanics, and allow for more realistically self-found/self-made increases in power that aren't gated behind multiple layers of RNG? Doubtful, but I hope this happens.

  7. Maybe the "best" way for PoE would be to keep the harvest methode but with a slight change. That beeing that if you pay more to guarantee a affix you will never get the highest stat possible. like for example if you do random can get 1-30 lightning damage but if you us the secure methode you can only get up to like 26. that way you can get good gear with good stats for sure but if you really want the best possible you have to go random.

  8. One of the reasons why I like SSF league in PoE is because I actually use currency on items.
    Deterministick approach seems to fit SSF. Since you can't trade and it usually means more grinding.
    They could actually put more leagues in game, based on if they want more or less deterministick game.
    Player base is really big and it would satistfy more people this way.
    Maybe a league where you can't trade, but you can craft items?

  9. Well, can't expect companies to plan that far ahead, building fires are so unexpected(unless someone created it) its very rare,but i do get your point, but what can u do?
    And i get where some ppl come from with the PoE update, but sometimes a nerf is needed, at the very least they are honest about why they are doing it, not something that can be said for all companies.
    And as always, u can't please everyone.

  10. Are we for real here? A fire destroyed a building in a freak incident and now we're worried about what happens to our virtual characters if a fire destroyed the server that housed them? They're characters in a video game they're not your RL relatives or friends. This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life.

  11. #installedGX I have been using this browser since the first time you mentioned it months ago and I LOVE IT! The twitch integration and the dark mode option for me is what I use most. Overall I have nearly nothing negative to say that I wouldn't complain about with any browser honestly.

  12. With the update for the nerf, next league PoE will be having uninstalled. They are putting high end stuff out of reach, besides farming EVEN more to afford high end items since prices are gonna be stupid high again.
