  1. Maybe we should try to see all these universes like we see Dc and Marvel comics’ universes, canon to what you see fit. Dc and marvel have so many scenarios and stories that get outdated that it’s kinda impossible to truly know what is and isn’t canon. Now yes Marvel has earth 616 and Dc just has their main universe, but even comics in those two universes have many inconsistencies and “reboots” in them as well as different writers. so to not lose your sanity pick and choose what you think and want to be canon.

  2. Arcane is a bit problematic. The writers said too much too soon and now people are annoyed or relieved that Arcane is "different", it was simply not denied that it is canon or not. So i really disagree with Necrit in this point, he said himself "take everything Riot says with a grain of salt" and that includes the Arcane writers.

On one side, Arcane not being canon makes room for the champions themselves grow free of chains, but at the same time the small possibility of a champion dying in Arcane because it's not canon is really painful. So i won't believe that Arcane is not canon until a direct confirmation comes, until there i will let my mind open.

Plus, there's nothing said about Ekko's parents in Arcane so they could easily be alive and appear in second season and champions lore have been revised because it was too old or because the champions got reworked, so it's not impossible for Riot to add or remove some details of champions lore to fit into Arcane.

Apart from that there are some things that if they happened Arcane would just turn canon, the major one is Vanderwick… if Vander is indeed Warwick, it would link Arcane with core lore directly, if he instead was an unnamed thug, then it won't matter but if he's Vander this just changes too much about the character simply because Vander only exist in Arcane, so if Riot don't change Warwick so he have a name, then Vander would be labelled as Warwick and no one would be convinced of the opposite. Plus, there are tons of cool characters in Arcane that Riot is dying to add to the game, Sevika for example, i don't think Riot wouldw wast this opportunity.

  3. Nothing is Canon
Like the ruined king event but enough about that.
and legends of runeterra too like mentioned in the video
Arcane is a good example of this too
It like The writer of the show says
the lore is a mess so F*ck it
I'll make my new one because the "CANON" lore doesn't matter
    and I don't blame them
Because I know they find the lore interesting. I Do too
And they want to tell a story about it
but they and riot don't even know
    what is considered canon .
after all it just a moba game.
so to say that riot care about the lore no not true not at all.
cause you know who cares about lore?. the writer of universe story
and what did riot do to them?
the one that care about the lore

    as Matt Dunn says

"Narrative was and is seen as
    disposable.

When we ask for more, they let us go."

  4. Is the Galio and Swain interaction ruined by the Legends of runeterra cards? What if Noxus doesn't know that the secret method of sculpting life still exists? What if Guile knows, but isn't revealing it because Swain might pose a problem to Noxus in the future? What if Durand family have somehow saved it from some unforeseen accident caused by Noxus before, but it has deteriorated and they aren't unable to fully complete the many petricite sculptures, just like Galio? I mean it doesn't really destroy the Lore, if you think about it.

  5. We are always quick to praise Riot that they plan ahead and the cinematic was teasing future things… but I can t stop to think that they simpply make the cinematics to look cool and sorta possible, and then when they saw people liking it so much they decided to make it cannon and only then they decided to work on projects on that way ahahah

  6. I think they will reconciliate the original lore with Arcane. After all they changed the map and got rid of summoners so everything that turns the lore into a better experience, like what Arcane does, should be the way to go.

  8. Man, I really wish the upcoming void event comes with a new pve game mode

I know I'll probably be frustrated and disappointed though…

They could even make a cool pvp mode, like that one Dark Star Thresh game, that one was creative and fun, even a void skin over the Ascension map would do, just make something Riot, I'm begging!

  9. hard canon, what there's no doubt is fully canon
and soft canon, what Riot may adobt as canon in the future
with that Arcane may become canon later on, just like comics and the MCU are adapting to eachother etc, etc

  10. And what about skins? There are few, that can be considered canon (Sylas from Freljord, Captain Miss Fortune, Unbound Tresh, some of Sentinel and Ruined Skins, which were shown in cinematics, to name a few). I think it will be interesting topic to discuss.

  11. I don't get how you say Arcane Ekko is so different from League Ekko. He's still a tech genius, the firelights are just the Lost Children of Zaun, the mural is the same from his trailer, and they haven't mentioned his parents yet so its very likely that they're still alive in Arcane. Arcane changed like nothing about him other than his clothes and hairstyle.

  12. I feel that Riot should retcon most of the lore and substitute it with Arcane. Arcane was beautifully done, and it gives so much backstory to the champs involved. It makes Vi likable, for example. It kinda irks me how both Arcane is not cannon and neither are champ interactions, yet the interactions with Warwick and Vi/Jinx directly references what came and is to come in Arcane. Without those being cannon, it takes a lot out of how cool it is.
