Well to me the most fitting cannon ending is Mainly going with Panam and riding off into sunset. Either wih Panam or Judy at yer side. Game clearly expects Male V with Panam. Everyone else is just kinda there. Also. While Judy felt natural for Female V. She didn't have a lot to say once you hit the point of no return and had only a token moment at the very end of the finale. Compared to Panam's presence especially if yer playing Female V. There were a lot of scenes you just HAVE with Panam when it felt more natural to have had it be Judy or Who ever else you romanced. Still Im just Glad Judy was around at all still after pyramid song.
I think the casion palace is more likely the cannon ending, mr blue eyes seems to have a much larger roll to play for Vs survival
Personally what I want from the free DLC is a expanded romance. I liked the romance's but was disappointed nothing else happened after finishing the romance questline, I'm not look for anything huge just I dont know taking your love interest on a date to a club or something.
For the paid DLC i wouldn't mind what your are saying, both saving V, and Mr Blue Eyes.
I was thinking, in order to resolve the issue of having the DLC take place after one of the endings, as well as the issue of having it take place at some point in the story that several players might not have found if they didn’t complete a certain side quest, would be to have it take place as a prequel. For this, I figured there’d be two possible ways they could take this that I think would work:
1) a prequel where we play as Johnny the entire time in pre-2020, or
2) exploring V’s rise and early missions with Jackie taking place during that montage after the prologue and before the heist. This is my personal favorite of these options, since it would let us interact with Jackie some more and explore V’s early days as a merc in Night City and show how their relationship with Jackie developed.
If you let johnny take the body, there could be a dlc where he does everything he did in his past life again and launch another assault on what's left on arasaka just go steal the tech to try to get v back
I want Jackie, he won me over more than any other character in his small time in the game
I received a call from Jefferson Peralez
after I left for Arizona with Panam telling V that he came across some really important information and needs to reach V immediately. Initially, I had thought to myself maybe this could be a perfect way to open up the sequel? I'd much rather see this get paid off in a sequel instead of a paid DLC. That way everything could be explored at a much deeper level. We could get to spend more time with these amazing characters as well.
Personally, I enjoyed V as a protagonist. Both voice actors male/female did a terrific job nailing their roles. The more I get of V (and Panam heh) the better.
The DLC will 99.9% have nothing to do with Arizona, it will either revolve around the Crystal Palace (most likely) or the Casino (more like addition but not story related).
1. Arizona would mean a completely different location that has nothing to do with the game and would require tons of additional stuff. -> Not worth the effort
2. They want to improve on Night City as a setting, so moving away from it wouldn't make sense.
–
My guess would be:
They go the easy road, no matter what ending you choose you start out with the premise of saving V's life, either as V or as Johnny because a solution popped up. If you left NC a contact in Arizona tells you about Mr.Blue Eyes, you meet him yourself or Johnny gets contacted by Kelly. In any case there is something or somebody in the Crystal Palace who can help. So whatever ending you got you attack the palace. End up saving V, either by giving V a new body if you're Johnny (IE start over with a new preset for future playing) or simply save yourself if you left Johnny in Cyberspace.
It's the easiest and most logical way to mesh all the endings into a DLC that takes place afterwards. I hope they don't do a "Oh look you did 4 missions with Jackie before the heist, play those now" because A. I don't really care about Jackie and B. It seems meh as an idea.
Wait till it dawns on everyone that the bullshit they're going through getting this game to run on old-gen consoles is sapping valuable development time for future DLC. That's right, those whiney little bitches are affecting PC development.
I can’t believe people are looking forward to DLC’s like it’s gonna be good lmao
ı think all endings will lead to dlc, but they will start differently ı guess
I just want dlc with all the cut content wall running, purchasing apartments etc overall I just want Night city to feel alive and immersive not dead with idiotic npcs roaming the streets :/
I want the dlc to take place after signing the arasaka contract where V gets a robot body or something and you get to play cyberpunk but in the cyberpunk future
Would be interesting to see a dlc that fleshes out and adds content to multiple of the endings
nah i think all these are not feasible due to an additional development that would need more work to which cdpr is at a disadvantage. if they're gonna go on these routes, maybe just maybe til 2022 or so, not the upcoming dlc's for this year.
The best gameplay-wise ending is the secret one but path of glory epilogue sucks. Arasaka ending has a flavor of Deus Ex and that's nice but the ending itself is boring. Panam ending smells of that fallout3 ending with no dlc, but the epilogue is somewhat okayish despite some stupid stuff like if female V romanced Judy the final shots are still with Panam. After trying all of the endings – the secret ending with going into cyberspace seems like the best compromise.
they patched FO3, radiation resistant companions can go and you won't get labeled as a coward
For small free DLCs, I want:
"Memories with Jackie" dlcs. Like 5-6 missions in the past, based on the 6 months montage.
For expansions, I want 4 expansions based on the 4 main endings that each will have their own continuing story paths, new places, & new contents. That would be a preem expansions for sure.
I just want exotics dlc…
It's gonna be the Crystal Palace. In Cyberpunk Red lore, Highriders in Low Earth Orbit primarily use bioware instead of cyberware because it's more difficult to shield cyberware from solar radiation outside of Earth's magnetic field, so they use nanites to augment their natural abilities instead. No matter where you are in the world you can get contacted by Mr. Blue Eyes, and he knows that you're still looking for a way to live your life – or in Johnny's case a way to bring V's engram back from the Net. Having access to high-tech Highrider nanites that could rewire your brain so you don't die is a clear motivation that makes sense for all endings.
first thing is first
they need to add DLC that includes:
beauty parlor / plastic surgeon- for Hair color, skin color, body dimensions for muscle, height and fat.
clothing designer- to change the look and color of current clothing item selected while retaining all equipped mods.
vehicle mechanic- vehicle upgrades and mods.
property ownership-ability to own property and possibly rent it out.
environment manipulation-move things around in apartment, different color lighting, and possibly have the ability to purchase furniture.
chop shop- have a limited ability to sell stolen cars.
Weapon smith- can have a more detailed ability to alter the look of all weapons.
Story Stuff- Just bring back Jackie 🙁
more side quests
more random crime
do something about all the locked doors in the game.
death is a theme in cyberpunk 2077, so whatever happens in a DLC V's playable story ends with cyberpunk 2077.
A DLC after ending is too much work for CDPR and i think the closure from V's Story could come with the next cyberpunk game(i know, no pre order).
just like dragon age, you will be in the same universe(maybe a different time span like in fallout) but play another character.
What about dlc that can increase the persentages on the three cards eg the middle one can now go to 100% and unlocks another ending where v and Jonny merge ?
I think the voodo boys will take part of any DLC because all the out come of their mission will stay with..if you have the deal with netruner you get massage from placed warning you to watch your back
Besides suicide there are only 2 significant endings (everything else is noise):
– You are in your body but have 6 months to live
– You are in digital storage
Its easy to do DLC for both of these. How? Biotechnica can now print human bodies, so you can basically get a new body regardless of whether you currently have one or you are in cyberspace. It will probably be like a small intro similar to the lifepaths, and from there you actually focus on the larger story at hand (AI, blue eyes etc)
Mr. Blues Eyes heavily hints he has a way of saving you. It definitely can work. Rogue AI would definitely have a way of inhabiting a body that isn't compatible, heck, they're implied to be doing this already, Mr Blue eyes mentions "You know why I hired you? Because you'd do anything at all for even the faintest chance of survival", which means the payment involves saving V.
The Big Badowski ends in a Landfill and we never speak of it Again, just like ET for Atari
I had similar thoughts about the possibility of a Crystal Palace heist DLC revolving around Mr. Blue Eyes and AI's. I could even see the Aldecaldo/Johnny endings leading all players to Crystal Palace in which they fix V's body/restore V to his healed body as a story bottleneck to prevent having, essentially, three or four completely different DLC's. My guess is that the raid on Crystal Palace will lead to a total breach of the Blackwall and invasion of AI to begin a new plot arc for a sequel revolving around a war with AI. The quest with Voodoo Boys and Netwatch heavily hints that it's only a matter of time before AI break through the Blackwall. They even imply that AI are already coming through in small breaches. My guess is just conjectural, but I'd be stoked about something like that. I wasn't bothered by the lack of closure in the game's ending so far. Instead made me hopeful for where the series takes V next. I'd also love to see some DLC with Jackie (pre-prologue DLC might be dicey though) or Morgan Blackhand. The small sidequest where you find Bartmoss in a fridge was cool, so more content with characters from the original lore would be sweet.
I’d MUCH rather see DLC taking place during the first 6 months /w Jackie.
But if I were to guess, the DLC will take place in the Crystal Palace.
I'm actually ok with open endings, there so much potential for story expansions in other areas.
1. Better idea would be to flesh out origin stories and turn that stupid montage from beginig to actual series of quests with Jackie.
2. I also want to find out what the hell happened in Kiroshi. There some kind of riot in front of their office, and if you sheak in to the territory you'll find corpses lying around and bunch of distressed NPCs, but nothing more.
3. Story about cyberpsychosis can be expanded. We still don't know what causing cyberpsychosis and there is no resolution in Regina's quest.
4. They could add something like "Gangs of NC Expansion" with bunch of quests from various factions. We know there is ongoing war between Valentinos, 6-th Street and Maelstrom. Maybe show us this war actually happening on the streets? Let us participate andor affect the outcome?
5. I wouldn't mind geting into the conflict between NetWach, WDBS and AIs from behing Blackwall. Give us more stuff to do in cyberspace!
Those blue ncpd baby missions sometimes have shards that talk about night Corp and their “blue eyes”
If it is an ending based Dlc it will take place in night city as that is less work and is where the game/franchise is based. You will end up recalled to NC if you left with panam or being released from mikoshi in some way. Alt/Arasaka/Johnny has found a way to cure the problem as a lure to return to the city. Possibly with life path starts depending on your final choice, ie star, sun, temperance or devil which was already achieved with Cp beggining and you would basically end up in a new body which would remove all your previous cyberware and skills plausibly.
Maybe they could just make different DLCs for all the different endings, except the suicide ending, or any ending where v dies (not the endings where v dies in 6 months, and giving the body to Johnny). Every ending would have a different outcome, where the storyline would be totally different from each other… I know, it would be very difficult for CDPR to pull it off, and it would take them a few years, if not many… But, if CDPR does this, they might just restore their glory back… And get respected again in the gaming community…
I just want DLCs to make the game playable after the endings. And I want V to be cured.
I'd really want to spend more time with Jackie. Let's hope they'll make these 6 months montage playable.
I think the DLC will be a different main story that you can follow before doing the last mission in the original story. Something that will again raise your friendship with Johnny so more people have a chance to get the secret ending. Maybe new endings in the very end that changes the outcome and actually gives hints at a real cure and so on. Not a story that continues the world but fulfills the world already given
I kinda lean towards the Crystal palace ending but still what i really want is to find cure for V. it feels so stupid and sad to do all of this and die anyway. it's like everythin was in vain !
Even though I agree about the "canon" ending being the Path of Glory/The Sun (with or without Rogue), I wouldn't put even the other named non-suicide endings (The Star/Panam ending, Temperance/Johnny ending, and both choices for The Devil/Arasaka endings), and as you said, the DLC could start with a first mission being the continuation of those stories:
The Sun/Path of Glory (Rogue and secret endings) – the DLC/expansion would start at Crystal Palace, with the data heist, which might either fail, or be a success…
V returns to Night city, and then you get to the default point, when you uncover the conspiracy featuring rogue AI, Militech, Night Corp, Jeff Peralez and Morgan f-ing Blackhand (who may or may not be the Mr. Blue Eyes)… and the other main quest would be to find a cure for V (this would probably mean that the space heist would end in failure, as it is Mr. Blue Eyes who offers you the help…)… If Rogue lives, she will offer you some missions and/or options to complete certain missions, and you would have a few other bonuses for being a NC legend… some iconic DLC items (or a special, streetkid-style vehicle, something tuned) might also be available to you either from the start, or from an in-game mission…
The Star/Panam ending – the DLC/expansion would start either in Arizona, but the quest for saving V would bring players back to Night City, as Altecaldos get contacted by Mr. Blue Hands through their contact in Arizona, and he offers to help V if they steal some data for him…
Then you get to the default point, when you uncover the conspiracy featuring rogue AI, Militech, Night Corp, Jeff Peralez and Morgan f-ing Blackhand (who may or may not be the Mr. Blue Eyes)… and the other main quest would be try to keep finding a cure for V… some iconic DLC items (or a special, nomad vehicle) might also be available to you either from the start, or from an in-game mission… You would aslo get some missions from Rogue, as well as from Panam and Altecaldos who returned with you…
The Devil/Arasaka ending (return) – the DLC/expansion could start right after you return from the orbital clinic… you have some catching up to do, coming to terms what you did… then a mysterious caller (Mr. Blue Eyes) contacts you to steal Arasaka intel, starting a heist of sorts that you will either complete or it ends in failure…
Alternatively, you would start at the orbital clinic, when a mysterious caller (Mr. Blue eyes) contacts you to steal Arasaka intel, both about the Relic 2.0 and about other things. This could end either in success or failure, but you would return to Night City as somewhat of a hunted man…
Then you get to the default point, when you uncover the conspiracy featuring rogue AI, Militech, Night Corp, Jeff Peralez and Morgan f-ing Blackhand (who may or may not be the Mr. Blue Eyes), and the other main quest for we would be to find a cure for V… you will see more black-ops clashes between Militech and much more powerful Arasaka, and there would be flashes of Johnny from time to time, given the way how Arasaka wasn't entirely successful with removing the construct… Hanako and Saburo-Yorinobu will offer you some missions and/or options to complete certain missions, some of which would give you iconic loot exclusive to that choice….
The Devil/Arasaka ending (engram) – the DLC/expansion would start at Mikoshi… and it would be a hell. You would get full menu of what Arasaka really does to engrams… but then someone plugs you out, and you find out that someone got you out (that someone could be Rogue, Mr. Blue Eyes or someone else, and maybe the AI Alt helped with that)… and they upload you to a stolen Relic 2.0 chip and give you a cloned V's body…
Then you get to the default point, when you uncover the conspiracy featuring rogue AI, Militech, Night Corp, Jeff Peralez and Morgan f-ing Blackhand (who may or may not be the Mr. Blue Eyes), and the other main quest for we would be to find a cure for V (the cloned body you would have suffers from the Relic 2.0 induced illness in the same way V's body did with Johnny). Rogue will offer you some missions and/or options to complete certain missions that could give you some iconic items unavailable for other paths.
Temperance/Johnny ending – this one is a tough one to predict… but I think that DLC would start in some random bar with you being Johnny… but then you get contacted by either Mr. Blue Eyes, digitised V or even AI Alt, and they would convince Johnny to return to Night City. And then either something of a heist happens and V ends up in Johnny's head, sometimes switching controls, or you play the whole DLC from Johnny's perspective…
then you get to the default point, when you uncover the conspiracy featuring rogue AI, Militech, Night Corp, Jeff Peralez and Morgan f-ing Blackhand (who may or may not be the Mr. Blue Eyes)… If Rogue lives, she will confront you as Johnny, and maybe forces you to do some missions for her… You (or rather, Johnny) would later clash with Panam, if you did her side missions… You would also have some iconic DLC items tied to Johnny, accessibe from start, or through in-game missions…
Otherwise, it might go along the lines of the suicide ending, but that would be a disservice to that ending…
Suicide – The DLC would probably default to Path of Glory ending (with Rogue dead), but you might not get any bonus mission or reward that you would get if you chose other endings… alternatively, it might go with Arasaka engram starting point (you know, at Arasaka, they can put a corpse through Soulkiller)
Methinks it will all coelesse at the Crystal Palace regardless of what path you took in the ending. It will just differ on how you get there.
And as for Mr. Blue Eyes, I think he's using Militech as a convenient asset against Arasaka, not working for them directly. He seems to be the type of person that isn't in it for any Corpo.
Mr. Blue Eyes a.k.a Mr. Illusive Man 😛
But seriously, something hints me that he would be the hint. Each ending may end with a separate DLC but just like the begining of the game, they eventually come to a converging path. However i believe the Path to Glory has more to offer in this context than other endings. And truly, i was always looking at Blue Eyes as the ideascape. I hate V is being left on a cliffhanger.
