  1. 9 to 10 billion people with in the next dozen years, or so? Nah. Not a chance, maybe 8, or 9 billion before 2050… Maybe. How ever, we're going to lose at least 1 billion with in the next 3 to 4 years from now, and possibly slowly dropping in already develop countries. Hell possibly? It's already happening, and in still developing countries a increasing population do to a higher survival rate… Well depending on many factors.

Of course don't forget possible civil war in the USA, and a possible global war as well possibly revolving around globalists, and nationalists.

… Of course there's also the more realistic world war revolving around china, iran, and/ or russia, and all it needs is a spark.

With the USA the citizens are becoming more blood thrusty for each other's blood, but of course there's a possibility for everything to die down before 2025, but may never know.

Hell who knows we might've hit our peak population numbers, and might slowly taper off, and then start slowly declining with out any conflicts.

I mean there's many factors in play right now that would determine the future population of earth, not even mentioning star ship, and elon's goal for a multi planetary species before 2050.

    Only time will tell.

  2. It would have to begin small. A series of permanent, solar powered space stations that were set up to be independent. Perhaps a cluster could provide a habitat for people in one, several to grow food, another to process waste, purify water, cycle waste air, and create oxygen. Perhaps half a dozen could produce enough for a stable population to survive.

Create more clusters and grow individual clusters to support more people… And, in time, we'd have enough space stations orbiting the sun to make a dent.

Of course we have to solve that pesky need for gravity before that can happen.

  3. A technologically advanced people would drink in the 'waste' radiation as well since vast technological advancements would be achieved before a dyson sphere/swarm creation around even a dwarf star. They would hide it to keep it secret from other races as or more advanced and warlike than them. Even simple dust clouds like our Oort cloud hide.. most of everything anyway.
