11:23 thanks for pointing out that it works normally in online mode lmao. I loaded into offline raids and the phantom footsteps were soooo bad I just disabled it thinking it was like that in the actual game.

Happy about the new equipment. Honestly i feel like the better the gear i have the more likely im targeted by cheaters. Its like they can see what your running.Ive alwase had a easy pass when i run pistol or naked.

The stepping spawn in sound also happens in online mode. At least on customs, on the temp. Extract with the tank, next to the small bus station

7.62×39 mai ap should be purchasable after punisher part5 (swap places with bp round.) 7.62x39mm needs a late game round and it shouldn't be as inaccessible. Plus it's just slightly better m995 not super op like 8.58X70 AP.
Footsteps are 100% heard in live raids too. I just had a raid at nighttime woods and was standing near rocks (after that near ZB – 014 exit concrete wall) and those footsteps made me jump off my chair like 3 times. Most of the time i heard them while standing still, once when i was sprinting. I have no idea how it works but sound definitely bounces of a surface, that's for sure.
For the random footstep one. Every raid i went to it would play that about 10 seconds in and it got me the first couple times

I haven't played for a year and my mind was thoroughly blown when I saw 20k+ a round. That is… Somethin'.
Since Salewa is too expensive to put in vest and too big to put in container. I always put a CAR kit in vest for quick use and a IFAK in container for spare.
But now AFAK will be my fav. med kit.
I'm still waiting for BSG to rework how night vision works in-game. IR aiming devices for active aiming needs to be better, IR lasers need to have visible beams, IR illuminators need to illuminate stuff and not just be a faint red glow on very small area that's only as far as where your foot is, and passive aiming with optics can be slower to mimic what its like IRL.

Quick PSA: I got exactly 1 weird echo footstep the first raid I did at the very beginning, but after that online the sound has been fine.
Idk if it’s something that will keep happening but I was in an offline raid earlier with the new headset on, and I was sitting on top of sniper rock messing with graphics and I kept hearing one footstep behind me to the left while I was walking and it even happened while I was sitting still, I know it wasn’t a scav in the area because I killed the sniper scav and was crouched on his body but I haven’t had it happen in an online raid even with the same headset
I think the idea of face masks and hats not having thermal signatures while shirts and pants do it that they made it so thermals won’t highlight gear, and since the clothes aren’t really gear they show up as the character “body” while anything that’s equipable won’t light up

The MIP streaming thing that was supposed to offload some things into your GPU is a massive disappointment. I have a 3080 and the game runs worse with MIP turned on. Sadge.

Broken load times on inventory. Skill nerfs. More expensive crafts. Pointless ammos. Reskinned guns basically. MIP streaming that does fuck all and if anything makes my FPS worse. Steam audio that sounds pretty good but causes ghost steps. Ahhh yes, Tarkov… never changes for the better since they got rid of the ridiculous stutters. That was the last update that remotely made the game better. I'm about done.
We just not gonna talk about cultists being near invisible on thermals peg?

This step does happen in online, scared the shit out of me on customs yesterday, when me and my buddie spawned, and rhsn 2 secounds later we hear this. I thought some other player has been spawned with ous.
