  1. "If I had to guess Epic loses on the merits, but the Dept of Justice and the EU are going to weigh in and it may not go so well for Apple there." It's almost criminal that the two political gorillas are assessed to disagree with the legal facts.

  2. ree to rain curses on me 4 doing this, feel free to call me names, but if you walk in my shoes I bet you’d understand why I’ve decided to speak up. I’m an orphan and I’ve got one sister, she’s my only sibling, we lost our parents in the space of 5 months to different tragedies in 2017 which was obviously the worst year of my entire life. Ever since we lost our parents words cannot begin to express the level of pain and penury we’ve endured over the years, we’ve even dropped out of school Bcs we can no longer pay our school fees, I had a small job that was helping us survive but I quit the job Bcs I was raped and sexually assaulted multiple times by the monster who employed me, unfortunately he got away with it Bcs of how corrupt our police system is. It’s almost impossible for us to eat right now, it breaks my heart seeing my only sister Sharon cry Bcs of hunger, it tortures me mentally, emotionally! The country I live in right now is undergoing a serious insurgency and is still running rampant and we do not have access to proper sanitation and protection, no government aids, no food stamps, we are being attacked by Boko haram and some unknown gunmen who have displaced thousands of people from their homes, we are not safe anymore, nobody is safe here, I sincerely need all the support I can get, food is so hard to come buy, 😞sincerely I’m being tempted to take my life some times Due to the level of hardship and frustration, Most times we go days without food, I’m using a free WiFi to put this message out just in case you are wondering how come we don't have food to eat yet I've got access to the internet, I'm using a free WiFi. This crappy phone of mine is my only way of reaching out for support. I want to plead for little financial support, life has been way too brutal for us, we don’t have any groceries available for us to feed with, I need your help so we can at least buy some food items to survive on while I continue my Search for a job, This is a Genuine plea for assistance 😥. 3. "If Don Corleone had all the judges, and the politicians in New York, then he must share them, or let us others use them. He must let us draw the water from the well. Certainly he can – present a bill for such services. After all – we are not Communists." ― Emilio Barzini

  4. Irrespective of the actual issue & merits of this case, it's disingenuous to call René Ritchie a 'tech analyst'. He's an Apple evangelist, and it's hard to consider his opinions to be fair on this issue. Why not bring in Epic evangelist to balance this segment?

  5. No one is discussing the real issue.
The real issue is having your app free on app store.
And charging your customers outside the app store like on your website.
While this is perfectly legal, these app store companies do not like and try to ban. (that's the issue)

This is the issue companies like basecamp and others run into.
They are already charging way less to be competitive but then they have to pay 30% to these companies.

  6. Apple is a monopoly (mostly like a mafia). Getting 30% cut without allowing other market places to compete for selling products or directly by developers, in this case Epic Games. That 30% cut eventually comes out of the end user pocket. This should have been done long ago by consumers as a class action lawsuit against Apple. You already pay a big premium when you buy an iPhone (which will become obsolete by planned obsolescence schemes like non-replaceable battery and so called security upgrades). Why do you have to pay another 30% for software or games from third party to Apple? Imagine Microsoft starts asking for a 30% cut from software developers. Who do you think ends up paying that? The end user. Apple became Apple by being a Mafia and its CEOs are Charlatans including Steve Jobs and Tim Cook. They have demolished all competitions softly as much as they could to get to this position.
