Among Us is a multiplayer game, supporting four to ten players. One to three of these players are randomly selected each game to be Impostors, while the rest are Crewmates. The game can take place on one of three maps: a spaceship (The Skeld), a headquarters building (Mira HQ), or a planet base (Polus).] Crewmates are given tasks to complete around the map in the form of minigames, consisting of maintenance work on vital systems, such as electrical rewiring and fueling engines. Impostors are given a fake list of tasks in order to blend in with Crewmates, and they have the ability to sabotage the map’s systems, traverse vents, identify any other Impostors, and kill Crewmates. If a player dies, they become a ghost; ghosts can pass through walls, but can only interact with the world in limited ways and are invisible to everyone except other ghosts. All players, aside from ghosts, have a limited cone of vision, only allowing them to see other players within a certain unblocked distance around them, despite the game’s top-down perspective.
Among us vs fall guys is a very large debate people have often, did among us kill fall guys or did fall guys kill themselves while among us rose?

Among Us was inspired by the real-life party game Mafia (also known as Werewolf in some areas), and was initially intended to be a mobile-only local multiplayer game with a single map. It was released in June 2018 to Android and iOS, under the AppID of “spacemafia”. Shortly after release, Among Us had an average player count of 30 to 50 players simultaneously. Programmer Forest Willard deemed that “it didn’t release super well” which designer Marcus Bromander believed was because studio InnerSloth “[is] really bad at marketing”. The team intended to “[give] up on it several times”, but continued work on it due to a “small but vocal player base”, first adding in online multiplayer, new tasks, customization options, and later on November 16, 2018 it released on Steam. Cross-platform play support was available upon release of the PC version.

On August 8, 2019, InnerSloth announced a second map, Mira HQ. A third map named Polus was added later that year on November 12, 2019. Both maps initially required an additional payment of US$4, however their prices were reduced to $2 on January 6, 2020, and then later made free on June 11, 2020; while the map packs are still available for purchase on all platforms, they no longer provide access to the maps, instead only giving the player the skins that were bundled with the maps.

According to Willard, the team “stuck with [the game] a lot longer than we probably should have from a pure business standpoint”, putting out regular updates to the game as often as once per week. This led to a steady increase in players, “snowball[ing]” the game’s playerbase. Bromander stated their ability to do this was due to them having enough savings, allowing them to keep working on the game even while it was not selling particularly well.

Among us seems like its more or less infamous nowadays. Among us is still cool but definetely has lost quite a bit of traction if I’m being honest. Among us in real life ?!?!?!?!? Among us 3 AM HAPPY MEAL ?!?!?!?!?

  3. I really love your vids but I think talking about among us is a bit pointless since they're just theoritical vids and among us is already dead. it CAN revive as you said but i think talking about other stuff is maybe more interesting. I think you could maybe cover some other games than the same ones and maybe talk about other stuff like eSports or Jackbox party box. idk you havent even talked about league yet which I think is quite interesting.
Luv ur work and congrats on 100k 🙂

  4. As a still loyal fan of Among Us I agree. Heres the short form of my opinion:
I really dislike that the Airship Map took so long to develop just to be the last update before the downfall.
It's safe to say that for all mobile players, the Quickchat Update was the badest thing that could've happend since it just took the whole fun while playing away. The updates nowdays take way to long and what we got since 2021 like roles, 15 players, etc. could've just been an ew opportunity for a new Among Us. I was really excited when Map 5 got announced but I don't think we'll get it till next year. The Hide and Seek update could just be an feauture in an even bigger update. Players that want to play Hide and Seek change their names to it and its really not that big of a deal to just don't join the lobby.
A friends list… could at least for me also be a part of some big update. Do I think Among Us will get the attention that it had once again, no! Do I think Among Us can pull of one massive Map 5 update that could "revive" the game, yes. For now its "dead" but I hope that Among Us will get one massive update to revive themselfes. Thank y'all for reading this, have a good day (okay maybe its not that short)

  6. I get the feeling that this channel is suppose to be. Something that it isn't.

I'm getting bored of you're videos trying to explain how irrelevant indie video games that are meant for kids but not are.And going nowhere with the explanation. And just repeating over and over Again.

Another channel did this better than you. Also the coverage of the controversy of poppy playtime.

You hoped onto the the poppy playtime controversy I saw. That another channel did.

You're one of thoughs people who like a fandom and then don't like it because either it's controversial hut still keep on saying how it's bad etc and still keep on mailing the views you get.

Like something then don't like it and hope onto something to leech off of it.

It's best to leave that community/fandom etc and put it in the past.

Lots of franchises and communities. I say.

I can list alot from mainstream media and off the Internet that are.

Some I wished could be banned off the Internet and off main stream media.

    Others I don't think so.

And others that are either dying or irrelevant forget them.

    Especially Indie fandoms.

Like say all indie fandoms franchises that aren't mainstream. Should be forgotten about because it's not mainstream.

Mainstream is well known I say but like when Indiepednant Fandoms get attention from mainstream media I do know it gets ruined. Really.

It's best to move on and forget about fnaf etc.

Than too leech off of dying or irrelevant indie Internet fandoms.
