Although I do sometimes get a hand from BSG and occasionally get to talk to Nikita or other members of the team, I do not work for BSG. I also work entirely off public information and past experiences of working in game dev myself, as well as following this game closely for several years. Unless I state very clearly otherwise, the information you’re about to hear should be taken as speculation. You can either get no information or speculation, that’s all we have to go off of these days unfortunately which is why it’s easier to just say Thursday whenever anyone asks for dates. If you want hard facts and dates you won’t get them, period.

  1. My theory about Open World is that we'll start with timed raids as we progress through all locations and the main story before Open World is unlocked. End-game will see the unlock of Open World (After story and all locations have been survived) where players will interact ONLY with others in the Open World who have completed their main story-line. There will still be reason to go to time based raids for side-quests (Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Seasonal) or quick specific loot runs. Where Open World will be where true progression (beyond soft-cap) begins. This is where prestige or mastery of weapons takes place. Tasks that require multiple locations to be traversed for a single prestige which resets player stats like a "wipe". Every Prestige gives s player a skill point and this we can distribute how we please. After x amount of Prestige the player unlocks new animations or character capabilities, cosmetics etc.

Before seeing all of this I would like to see better servers, reduced cheaters and Better netcode, with these three things they could eventually leave the game as it is and the experience will be more enjoyable for all the players in the community without inventing anything new. For the open world discuss, it sucks and I honestly doubt that it will be out in the next year or so.

  3. huge note: once the game is open world that likely means that the currently terrible reserve spawns are instantly irrelevant, instantly making it my favorite map again.

    other than that, i think there's a lot of fun to be had around the point between lighthouse and shoreline, as i expect it to likely become much more active (sbih on shoreline might become less painful here too!)

    super excited about there, the only worry i have is how loot respawns would work but i trust that they have this figured out since it's been actively on their mind for years

  4. the open world system even with instance is my dream. Ok, we need food, lets go interchange real quick, ok go back to customs, player B is short on med, lets go back to the shoreline throw the woods.

  5. May be a bit of a Noob question but at what stage do we think they will stop with the wipes? I own the game but am waiting untill it reaches a level of production so that my progress isn't wasted. I have got plenty of other games to keep me happy in the mean time so I don't mind the wait I am just querious?

  6. This game needs some ranked/level system.. so people who actually have a life can enjoy some gameplay when they have time for it without being shredded 5min in the game by those who haven't seen daylight in days..

  7. The quests in EFT are so fucking dumb. "Hey warrior, here's a rifle I made. You'd really be doing me a solid if you could murder like 6 homies with it while you have the shits from eating a jar of mayonnaise. I'd pay you handsomely."

  8. All I know is, for a while this game has been great but rn I'm experiencing a lot of bad hit detection. Youll get bloodsplatter, youll visually watch the person you shoot take a ridiculous amount of damage, just to die in one shot and get 52 shots fired only 3 shots hit even though that is complete bullshit, and you lit that mfer the fuck up to basically get the majority of your hits not even register at all. It's just ridiculous man. The only logical explanation I can come up with is its dsync or something to do with server performance. So ya know, I would prefer they get that shit working again so that the hit detection isnt dog shit before they make more ambitious, gonna take a while, plans. The base game still needs a ton of work. The multiplayer is inconsistant as fuck not even due to being out skilled, more than half the time its something where there is nothing you couldve done. Because the fucking dsync seems to effect the game at random and this dude might just eat that whole magazine, hit you one time and kill you just for you to get to the end game screen and it tells you you missed a ton more than you did. Its fucking insulting when you put all this time into this game and you cant EVER enjoy it for long. Because some bullshit is bound to happen in one form or another. most of which comes down to it just being a poorly developed game. nd their sitting here talking bout these huge ambitions that going to change the whole game drastically, thats cool bro. Do it, BUT GET THE GAME YOU HAVE NOW ON POINT FIRST. Fix this god-awful hit detection

  9. While I like it, won't that just make certain travel areas have too much traffic to just play the game? For instance, taking path to shoreline would place you at path to lighthouse, and ppl would just be spwn camping. Idk what there plan is but still cool non the less.
