  1. I started playing league back in 2014. I can still remember the times champions appeared on the login screen. From that point till around late 2020, i was a "hardcore" ranked player that played only solo. In 2021, some of my friends started playing league again, and so we played flex games. Never had so much fun in years. But, when i queued up solo q, the game felt boring and lifeless. So i decided that i should only play league with my friends and not solo anymore.
TLDR : YOU CAN HAVE FUN PLAYING THIS GAME WITH YOUR FRIENDS.

  2. I REALLY quit at about season 8ish. But I completely stopped playing season 11. It used to feel like you could lane and have real skill expression through the base game alone asides champ mastery. Split second decisions weren't nearly as rewarding as consistency. Fights would last, it wasn't top-down call of duty.

  3. I actually don't hate it anymore. I was playing just summoner rift and thats it. I got tilted and all that and I got tired and hated it. Solo queue was annoying since I'm a support main and it dont matter what I do good if the rest of the team don't do good (I play Karma, Lulu, Nami and Rell). So I decided to say FUCK IT! I hated any game play that wasn't norms draft, but I decided "fuck it, I dont care! Just play something you'll learn more Champs and maybe like it or not!". Thats what I did, I started by playing just ARAMS and thats it no norms or nothing. In that time I played everything from Bard to Aphelios and I learned… I really love Twitch, and Akshan and Sivir is actually fun and holy fuck I suck as Cassiopia or however you write that name and holy shit im a decent Evelynn in ARAM at least. Now I play Twitch, Sivir, Akshan and Vex and im having fun in norms. URF came out and I also hated that but I said fuck it again and played with a friend and holy shit has it been fun! I probably won't get to gold this year but I dont care at this point im having fun practicing new champs and fucking around.

  4. The problem with league is if you take a break from it you might as well quite because when you come back the game is totally different. League 10 years ago barely even resembles league today.

  5. The thing with me is I take a break and then come back really excited to play the game and immediately have the worst experience I have ever had so I want to quit again. The only enjoyment I ever get out of it any more is ARAM 'cause its quick and not serious

  6. "You don't quit and never come back"

My intellegence (I'll make a view I have such) told me month ago, that it would be better quit and right never come back.
My addiction got me back in LoL (well, there is more concrete reason actually, why I returned, but it's too long to write it). Like I know gameplay is holyhell shit and it won't get better, the patient is dead , but here I am.
The most fuck-up of that is that LoL isn't that thing, which has "special place in my heart" or something. It's good but hell away from the best, even some (but not all) my most favourite parts of LoL.

    Soooo… yeah, "I'm in danger" (c)

  7. I used to have a garbage laptop that could only run league so even when I hated the game, there was nothing else to do other than playing league and now I am no longer playing league, not even Aram, cause I remember how frustrated I was with the game and I don't need that in my life. Now I mostly play tft, fps games and offline games, which has done wonders for my mental health

  8. Finally someone said it. Just cause you dont play the game, doesn't mean is becaused is bad, maybe you need to play less, or just play something funny and simple, like aram. Play the f*** game when you want to play it, is that simple.

  9. i am going to say that the closest i got to quitting was when i was trying to get gold because i wanted to have Victorious Orianna and my pc could not run the game when i started a mach, i literaly got stuck on the loading screen 3 or 4 times in a row and just got frustrated so much i stoped playing for a long while, i just got back because playing with friends was fun and i got a new notebook, now i just play with friends and on no other condition.

  11. Its a great way as well to play something else or build new skills/new hobby. Currently im back heavily into league while in lockdown but 3.5 years ago I needed a break and I had always wanted to learn about game design, so I took about 6 months off league and the time (after work, before bed etc) I spent playing league, I spent learning Unity, pixel art and how to do game development. Jump to today and I can fully code, make and design games and make my own pixel art now to the point where I would love to be an indie full time game dev or stream it along with streaming games. Its been fantastic, but I also like to take breaks from game dev and remind myself why I wanna do it, because I love games like League.

Everything in moderation is hugely important!

  13. I feel you, I do get angry a lot but I still like league. Whether it is for the art and universe or gameplay reasons.
What makes me keep logging in however is their event rewards and S rank chests these days and that's what usually makes me angry 99% of the time. Because at some point I end up playing characters I neither like nor know how how to play. Wish they reworked that system 🙁
