  1. Correct me if I’m wrong but I understood fragmentation as the bullet splitting and hitting the same limb again or another limb as well possibly. I’ve heard of people being one shot in the chest by a 4.6×30 round w level 4 armor. I always thought this was because of a fragment or double fragment on one bullet splitting into the persons head from the thorax.

  2. Comment for algorithm: hmmmm… should i start playing Tarkov again?…. As a 99.9% Rust player… i'm wondering, WHY AM I WATCHING THIS VIDEO??! Does make me want to play every time i watch a Tarkov video though…

  3. the KS-23's 23 stands for 23mm which is way far off from 23 gauge because the bigger the number, the smaller the shell when it comes to gauge. If you were to use the gauge system on the KS-23 it would be around 6 gauge. (timestamp 6:58)

  4. Isn't the SP8(9×18) better to use? Since it has 60% frag. chance so you have pretty good chance to deal 100 dmg and it has a small chance to deal bleedings..

  5. 23m shotgun killed me with one whot to the legs, full health lvl 5 armor etc. after action only showed damage to a leg with shrapnel 10, everything else was transferred damage from there.

  6. Thanks pestily for telling us Armor pen bullets pen armor. I dont get how he has such a following. THe content he puts out is so base and redundant. The game has been out for 4 years and you could sit and watch vids breaking down ammo for days. This is just lazy

  7. Something I think would've been really important to note on the rounds with the MP7 is that the subsonic SX is of course a sub sonic round and thus travels significantly slower than the other rounds (290 m/s compared to 620 m/s in the FMJ or 680 on the AP SX).

  8. Summery:

    12ga: Slug: AP-20 – DMG 164 / PEN 37.

    Buck: 8.5mm Magnum – DMG 8×50 / PEN 2 – low pen, aim for legs.

    20ga: Trash Gun don't use.

    23ga: Buck: Shrapnel 10 – DMG 8×87 / PEN 11 – Destroys legs/stomachs – Good range.

    Slug: Barricade – DMG 192 / PEN 39 – Only 3 rounds makes slugs risky.

    9×18: SP7 GZH – DMG 77 / PEN 2 – High dmg low pen leg meta.

    PBM – DMG 40 / PEN 28 – alright but not great, still hard to pen helmets, better to destroy legs with SP7 GZH and slow them than ping off helmet.

    9×19: PST GZH – DMG 54 / PEN 20 – Use with pp19, fast accurate = lots of bullets on target.

    AP 6.3 – DMG 52 / PEN 30 – Less affordable but better.

    7N31 – DMG 52 / PEN 39 – Too expensive, perfect world situation only.

    RIP – DMG 102 / PEN 2 – Don't use, only useful against Killer, shoot killer's legs with these rounds.

    9×21: SP13 – DMG 63 / PEN 39 – Will one shot most helmets, but it makes more sense to use 9×19 with PP19.

    5.7×28: SS190 – DMG 49 / PEN 37 – Cheap with PeaceKeeper Lvl 3.

    R37.F – DMG 98 / PEN 8 – Leg/Arm Meta, Very good in P90 against Killer.

    .45 ACP: AP – DMG 70/ PEN 36.

    4.6×30: AP SX – DMG 35 / PEN 53 – Any of these 3 ammo types are viable due to high fire rate of MP7, go with cheapest unless rich.

    FMJ SX – DMG 43 / PEN 40 – Second Cheapest.

    Subsonic SX – DMG 45 / PEN 36 – Cheapest.

    7.62×25: TT PST GZH – DMG 50/ PEN 25 – Drum mag in PPSH-41 is fun, but not great, avoid using this ammo.

    .300: AP – DMG 55 / PEN 44 – Use this ammo, don't waste time with BPZ, the gun is already so expensive that you might as well go the whole hog and use best ammo, BPZ a waste of time and money.

    .338: AP – DMG 115 / PEN 79 – Absurdly Expensive.

    FMJ – DMG 122 / PEN 47 – Slightly less Expensive, other ammo in .338 generally not worth using.

    .366: AP – DMG 90 / PEN 42 – Can be crafted in hideout. Use with VPO to level Sniper skill.

    5.45X39: BT – DMG 44 / PEN 37 – The go to budget round, buy from flee market if possible for best price.

    BS – DMG 40 / PEN 51 – More expensive than BT, but better.

    7N39 – DMG 37 / PEN 62 – More expensive than BT, but better.

    5.56×45: M855A1 – DMG 45 / PEN 43 – Will drop most people in 1 or 2 bullets to the head.

    M995 – DMG 39 / PEN 53 – Better than M855A1, too expensive to be viable, only use if rich.

    M855 – DMG 50 / PEN 30 – Good for low level players, not too bad of a round. If you see a fully geared fat boy, don't fight, run.

    7.62×39: PS – DMG 57 / PEN 32 – Good for lower levels, use in SKS, once available use BP.

    BP – DMG 58 / PEN 47 – Can be crafted.

    7.62×51: M62 – DMG 79 / PEN 44 – Preferable over M80, barely more expensive. Use if sniping, as its tracer you can track shots and adjust more easily.

    M80 – DMG 80 / PEN 41 – Barely cheaper than M62, useable still.

    M61 – DMG 70 / PEN 64 – Preferable ammo, buy if you can afford.

    M993 – DMG 67 / PEN 70 – Best ammo, very expensive.

    7.62x54R: SNB – DMG 75 / PEN 62 – Will one shot almost anyone in the head, cheap on flee market.

    7BT1 – DMG 78 / PEN 59 – Tracer round, good for sniping if you want to track shots.

    9×39: 7N12 BP – DMG 60 / PEN 55 – 1 Shot head / 2 shot thorax in most situations.

    7N9 SPP – DMG 64 / PEN 50 – Good ammo, cheaper.

    SP-6 – DMG 58 / PEN 46 – Viable ammo, cheaper. Can be crafted.

    SP-5 – DMG 68 / 38 – Cheapest Ammo, of the 4 mentioned, viable for closer range engagements thanks to high fire rate of AS VAL.

  9. Dont quote me on this I could be completely wrong, but this is the ammo designations I've found/fanangled

    BT = Ball tracer
    BS = Ball Special
    PP = Enhanced pen
    PS = Pen Special
    SN = Sniper Ammo
    Gzh = Bi-metaloc
    GS = Lacquered Casing
    US = Sub sonic
    LRN = Lead Rounded nose(?)
    SP = Soft point (Hunting round or something)

    PP = Povishennaya Probivaemost(Enhanced Penetration)
    BS = (Ball Standard) – специальный(Special)
    M = Modernetya(Modern)

    So 9×18 mm PM PBM could be Enhanced Ball Modern

  10. I would like to call out the accuracy amount of the 12 gauge ammos and speed of the shots is highly noticable in longer range engagements. For example the magnum buckshot versus the express buckshot. In close range the magnum is king, but maps like woods I run express because it easily reaches 100 meters accurately. For leg meta the super performance slugs mega accuracy and high accuracy early wipe destroyed everything I saw and still is king of scav or leg meta. The recoil reduction, high accuracy and insane speed is so much better than rip.
