The fortnite community is very indecisive in my opinion. At one point we complain and say we want fun in the game. Now we want sweaty gameplay. If most players focus on arena then pubs will be majority being bots and then we complain again saying that it's boring. We really dont know what we want.
Some persons play arena wholely and solely for the stacked lobbies with real players but I get what sypher is saying and I kinda agree but at the at the end of the day the fortnite community will never be satisfied with anything but that's just my opinion.
To be real if fortnite had a ranking system there should be rewards for ranking up like the way u mentioned about having ranks in Apex and also they should make it more harder to get points Bc it would be something that players would grind for like maybe 100 vbucks for getting to the bronze rank so it would be a little more fun and a reason to grind and for ppl to start playing arena more. and I think there should be rewards for being in the leaderboard too ,like if u think that fortnite should add this.

It is called skills based matchmaking, but the sweats complained about that. The sweats don't want to play with sweats, they want to play with the bots and lower level players.
I Totaly Agree But Also Kinda Like Most Ranked Games There Is A Unranked Section So They Can Gather Results From Your First Games

Tbh I don't think this is applying to console players because arena is hard enough with 60 fps and the fps drop to 40 SOMETIMES EVEN 30 and if epic actually does come through with this update I can see a TON of console pros and casual arena players to quit arena for good likkkeee idk

I feel like they should add like more umbrellas like you get a win umbrella for 1 win how about a different style for 10 wins and even one for 100 kills in a season that would make ppl want to get more wins
Honestly Fortnite should focus on making the servers better. So that in pubs Arena or endgame we have as small delay as that of creative. These delays literally makes me wanna leave fortnite.
"not losing that much points" that's cap in division 7 buss fair is 40 and it can be kinda hard to make that up if you going for placement because each placement is only like 5 hype
But I love the idea of arena endgames being more stacked that would be good practice

I’m div 6 and I stopped playing fn for a month
I think that depending on your placement and die, you lose different amounts of points
Example: when you lose in top 10 you don't lose points but if you die in top fifty, you lose like 20-30 points
