Why do we revisit old video games?

  1. Learning new is more difficult than re-living old. That and nostalgia exists because of the way time works. You can't go back, the world forces you to constantly learn new things. New things are change, old things are the resistance.
    Keep it up! Hometown looks comfy, and people who *don't have any kind of reverence towards where they grew up have no soul.

  3. I don't even play new games. It's not that I hate new games, I know I'll probably get into them eventually, but there are so many good games already existing that I usually end up playing games that are at least 10 years old, regardless of whether or not I had played them before. The fact that it's a lot less hardware demanding and easier to live stream and mod without crashes kind of helps as well.
