Square Enix’s latest game is the Anti-Avengers. It’s a $60 loot-shooter you can just pick up and play, and it’s CRUSHED the competition. No microtransactions, no live service, just some pretty good looting and shooting. More, please! Supported by our Patrons: http://www.patreon.com/bellularnews

Diablo 3 but Third Person Shooter. Its fun.
It's pretty sad that what is considered to be pretty average provides an overall above average experience these days, simply because it doesn't try to drain the player's wallet.
It's also helping a lot this game is not festering with Activision cancer 😉 Aaand it's not by a company firing people and giving Kotick $200M for basically being an asshole all around…
If it was turn based, i'd try it!
It looks like a Console Game based on Destiny and The Division mechanics. Not that impressed with it and wont buy it till I see more if ever.
It's a fun game for sure, but it's new and it got a lot of hype from youtubers. It's been less than one week and the playerbase is already shedding away. It's a flash in the pan at this rate (much like bulletstorm and the gears games they were involved with).
I meam after playing all destiny "one" I had more than enough of this games, they are stupidly repitive, plus most weapons feel the same and most perks are meh
Btwn you people can play multiplayer?
nah, not buying this, the ALWAYS ONLINE thing is already a good indication of how controlling the game it wanted to be. You don't own this game, once the server shuts down, kiss em goodbye.
The only problem I have with the game – and I believe most players do as well – is the "always online" bullcrap, which results in the server accessibility issues.
But I guess Square-Enix couldn't pass a few million users on their "platform"…
Oh well, hope they got good fire extinguishers in those server rooms.
on PC. I only can in single campaign. The game crash when someone try to join.
As I got game pass for 3 months, I quit my membership for the coming 3. My plan? To relive that gears of War nostalgia, aswell for AOE.
Didn't feel to good the gears gameplay. Outriders demo had me feel the controls and see the less static moving around it has compared to gears 🙂
I like the story
0:44 That it beat Borderlands 2 is crazy, but that it beat Borderlands 3 is no wonder. Borderlands 3 is kinda boring. The stages are not as wild as Borderland 2's stages where back in the day, and the enemies are not that great either. Enemies are either Bandits(and I shot more then enough of those in Borderlands 1 and 2 already) or other guys that act like the Bandits do … and even worse in Borderlands 2 you had a lot diversity, sometimes there where Robots sometimes Bandits sometimes Wild Beasts. In Borderlands 3 most of the time you shoot Humanoids, either Bandits from the COV or Maliwan Cronies sprinkled with some Robots.
The real reason I started playing was the Xbox official social media was very funny about announcing it
Then got deeeeep into the catnip
Everyone? I just heard everyone is playing outriders from this title, Never even knew what the game was about, I assumed from the name it was some sort of survival game.
It's the demo, it's a decent game that doesn't over-promise and the really unique monetisation: You pay for the game and… you get the game. ALL of the game. No hold-out's for later 'seasons', no micro-bullshit. No (hidden) subscription. No taking away half the game to make you buy the DLC.
You pays your money, you gets your game.
Also: Never under-estimate how good this is for a parent to be able to buy their kid a game that isn't going to keep coming back for more money.
Its a great game for the price honestly. And its so nice not to have any mtx or season pass or battle pass or season event to grind… In fact its fun to play a real video game and not another job!
That didnt aged well…. first patch and they completely f*cked up.
I'm not because the controls are so bad on console.
Steam says I have 34 hours played at the moment, yet actual gameplay is more like 25. I bought it day1 without looking into it further other than it's a looter shooter, but having 3 friends who played the demo saying it had good gameplay, and I trust those people's opinion in games.
The first weekend I was playing a lot with 2 of those, though a lot of the time it was plagued with connection issues, either one or more of us got disconnected, the other 2 had some game crashes to contend with, and just generally laggy gameplay.
Last Wednesday, the day after it launched, I woke up at 7 am ish GMT+2 time and wanted to continue the story, yet I couldn't because the game wouldn't let me log on, stating connection error. I only wanted to play the campaign, by myself, so why on earth should I need to connect to the servers in order to do so? I tried regularly between then and noon, but the game was always unavailable, despite the server status page saying everything worked perfectly. Between 8 and 10am, the players online (according to Steam) had dropped from some 60k to under 30k.
That is absolutely the biggest issue I've had with this game, although it seems to have stabilised. For most of this week I've played the game with no connection drops so that's good, however the maintenance timers could use a little work. Like today for instance, game said it was having a maintenance period from 1030 to 1045 when I logged on about 9ish. Okay fine, I'll continue playing until it does. 1030 rolls around, while I was looking into changing some mods on my gear, and I get a 3 second warning that I'll be logged out because maintenance. Barely had enough time to read the prompt before I was kicked from the game. At least regular MMOs like WoW and FF14 give you a warning some time before the server shuts down.
I actually like the story. Even with quite basic setup it has very good unpredictable moments. And for the game, for me its solid 8,5/10 even with bugs. And those god damn snipers 😀 Gearing is insanely fun. Loads of options, upgrading, modding. Solid suggestion for everyone.
It looks cool but im not spending 60 dollars on a game. Maybe when i was a kid,but not anymore. Hell no. I highly recommend to anyone reading this, DONT spend more than 30 bucks on a game. I started doing it and its been a lot better for me.
The only complaint I really have is the controls. They feel loose, that or I just need to turn down my sensitivity. It also looks amazing since I just recently got myself a 4k monitor
It’s so fun to play. Fun fact: the devs actually took influence for loot from Diablo2.
The game is so fun to play. When I’m not tanking Naxx in classic I’m playing Outriders. It’s a blast to play. The loot is engaging right off the bat.
Another note; everyone was talking about this game at work…. “just try the demo… it’s free!” Hooked! It worked. Everyone we recommended it to is now playing and addicted to it… even people that never played shooters. I think it has to do with core systems like being able to set the difficulty much more finely and also u don’t lose experience going down where it’s more comfortable. Naturally the loot isn’t as good but u out level that gear along the way anyhow but you get the benefit of taking the mods off gear to apply it to higher gear as u get it and also the end game gear when you ramp up difficulty.
They nailed a bunch of systems and it’s working. An offline mode would’ve been great for the server stability at launch but hey it’s getting better as we go on. Will it be that game u can replay forever.. no and it wasn’t designed to be. It’s a great departure for a good while. Yeah the story is cheesy but u can totally get into it.
Minus periodic flying… it’s everything Anthem wanted to grow up to be on a shoestring budget made by a group of devs that did pretty much support systems in other games. Hats off to them for delivering a no-nonsense “games as a service” game. That alone is worth it.
I'm enjoying very much, got tired of the loot triangle and endless grinding in Destiny only to get nothing.
It's a good game. Not great, arguably not awful… just good. Fun combat and a decent loot grind. With a finite amount of content, no dumbass "battle pass."
im in the endgame now, its still pretty fun. i hope they listen to the community with these new patch notes and end up basically buffing everything.
Loved it until the nerf patch yesterday. Survivability is linked to damage output, so lowering our hard-earned efficiency sees our fun quite hobbled.
Outriders is the 9th generation version of Destiny. The first massive online multiplayer looter shooter game on next-gen consoles. Nothing groundbreaking or particularly memorable, but the first big game of the generation nonetheless, because the real big games slated for later in the generation aren’t around to combat it and overshadow its hype. It’s a victor of circumstance. You can’t hate Outriders for that, but it’s not an applaudable accomplishment in favor of the game either.
I hate the daily bs from wow U ve to Play 2h a day to get all dailys done or u fall behind. And Blizzard almost forces U into Them with all the Pop Up s Game n gearin is over so fast they stretch Gameplay Time only with daily garbage
In this Game if i dont play 2 days and then grind my Heart and Soul out cause i got spare time im on the Same Power lvl nothing forces me to play evry day.
The game needed more time. It's lacking in life, especially the end-game. It's a single player game with the guts of a live service game.
It is a great game though. Most people dumping on it are people crying that it does not have offline mode for single player, bugs and server issues that it had first week of release, or people that played 100 hours ran out of content and after there 100th hour they run to steam and rate a negative. IMO games more fun than borderlands series, Destiny and division at least for me. Maybe I will change my mind suddenly when I get to endgame but for now I am having more fun than I have ever had in a shooter! (more of a rpg fan than a fps guy) Games a 8/10 easy for me.
Game is good but could use a few quality of life patches. The last balance patch was god awful though.
I'll tell you why it hit big: not because people are hungry for a looter shooter, but because people are hungry for ANYTHING that has depth to it and isn't complete crap. These days indy companies produce crap and tell us "what did you expect from that budget we had?". And AAA releases crap and tell us, "You'll get crap and you'll like it! cause were X AAA company!" and then Outriders comes along and says, "look, we got a decent game here, worth a try out", and they were up front for once. And with the dev's really in on the player feedback and connected to the community players really feel connected. They are doing many things that the larger devs forgot were important about gaming.
Seriously, it's character design is better then WoW, an MMO. you get a full talent tree, reminiscent of early MMO's, and you get a very flexible gearing system with a variety of stats to try out and use (instead of being locked into 3 or 4 like WoW currently does), and you can adjust those, boost them, and swap in mods that can literally change how your skills feel an play. I was kind of shocked to realize that it had more depth then an MMO that I loved once. Kinda crazy, but made me check it out. And as someone who doesn't normally play looter shooters, I'm playing this one.
Oh 4 days ago if you only knew what was in store xD
Did you mention a game license? Is the UK really that retarded that they make you get a license to be entertained ?
Imo the worst part about the game is the fact that the only content for end game is a DPS check. There is literally nothing else to do other than get the best DPS. The story was alright but nothing great and the gameplay feels pretty good. I play Devastator and it definitely needs a buff during leveling but it ramps up in power when you start to get your final sets. Its an alright game that is worth trying but id wait a while for the endless bugs, crashes, and server issues to be fixed.
