Why EVERYONE Plays: Yone | League of Legends

Back with another Why EVERYONE Plays! I normally don’t make WNOPs or WEOPs on champions that haven’t been out for too long, but I decided to make an exception since this guy has quite literally been top tier in terms of popularity and pick rate. So for today’s episode of Why EVERYONE Plays features Yone: The Unforgotten!

  1. My first day playing him I saw a yi rotating behind mid tower so I e over raptor wall 1, third q over raptor wall 2 knocking up yi, ulting him, then dealing enough damage to kill him 3 times and then going back right into lane and continue what I was doing

Nice Champ, did that in my first game

  2. Yea, I hate him with a passion mostly because he lets so many older champs look really bad. I really dont get why for example you cant attack his body that was left behind while in spirit form. he could just take double damage there as an additional risk. Just… something negative.
And yea, Kindred feels really unrewarding. When I switch to volibear it so much more fun (and easier)

  4. Why Everyone Plays is like Bricky's So you want to main series. Good plays, good points, easy to understand and you can see so much effort has been put into every video (just the editing alone is amazing)

  5. This video literally reminded me why I loved playing yone and I went and won 5 games of him in a row😳. To be honest though, he is extremely strong when ahead, and I don’t even think it’s his mixed dmg that’s so strong, it’s that most people can’t get away from him with his r dash q dash and e speed up. I do however, think there are champs that can smack him up, which are basically all mid assassins simply because if you can out trade him early you win lane hard, so if you’re ever having a really hard time against yone, try going zed, Akali, talon, Leblanc, or even panth. Best of luck to you all!

  6. Something worth noting about the mark dealing true damage is that it kinda… doesn't? Look at it like this: If you have Armor/MR, you take less damage from the rest of his attacks, which means you'll also take less damage from the Mark, because it's post-mitigation damage. It's literally just a %damage increase. Not saying it isn't a BONKERS ability, especially with the rest of his kit, but true damage based on the damage you're already taking is a whole different beast to something like a Cho Ult.

  7. Zed isn’t that hard to use lol! The only thing that is hard about him is learning how to land his Q but when you input it in you muscle memory then everything will fall into place, everything is just point and click! It took me 2 weeks to learn how to land his Q alone lol! But like a said not that hard as a champion because he is a champion without a weakness!

  8. Something that people don’t really talk about that bothers me on a fundamental level is that Yone’s ult has two hits to it… due to this and the short time between the hits it is literally impossible to spell shield Yone’s ult. Sivir/Nocturne either block the first hit and get hit with the second or just get hit with the first and can’t block the second cause they’re CC’d. Banshee’s? What a joke! Yone can literally just engage ult someone with Banshee’s and still hit them with it… just cause I guess

  9. Because he has an ridiculously OP kit

There, I just saved you 15 minutes

That skill needs a max distance, and he should not be able to cleanse CC when he recalls. Riot has to give us some sort of counter play to it
