The weapon banner is a trap 100% summoned for homa didnt get it now no homa also ;_;
i pulled on weapon banner because of Xiao.(f2p) I feel like he is not complete without his personal weapon. Good thing I got the spear or I would have regret pulling on it.
My main interest is building new characters. After i have 2 full 5 star god tier teams in which all cgaracters i absolutely love….then i will pull on weapon banners…since its a power creep….so it gets more nutty as it goes…so might as well keep on focusing on what i like till i am satisfied.
While I also agree we don't have any resources to level any new char hence summoning on weapon banners may seem like more sense, the counter argument is if you are summoning not for new chars but for important constellations on some of your key 4* chars, which I feel quite worth if u want constellations on at least 2/3 of the event chars.
C2 Ning was a game changer in my 2x geo line up. That additional gate allowed me to charge Noelle up so much quicker than before.

Well I only managed to get Xiao by saving since Childe banner so nah man I ain't gonna summon I need to replace my Keqing with a powerful dps most probably that will be the pyro archon and want to get Zhongli too on his potential rerun.
If I get c6 ninguang or a bennett then I'm basically pretty set, I'm f2p so I only have one 5 star character but started playing october, but judging by the fact Im not able to pull Bennett I may have to use a diluc support 0_0

Hilariously I was discussing this exact issue with the gf and her account.
we both have the characters we want, the ones we enjoy and weapons just give us a lot more power than a new character would, particularly due to the resin requirement

if i dont get lucky with my 50/50 for hu tao .. ill pull for weapon banner since its almost pity for weapon banner
My 5* are Xiao c1 and Diluc both rocking Prototypes so I'm actually going for this weapon banner or at least next week to get the 50 wishes per month.
As a bp/welkin player, this influenced me to roll on the Homa banner. I had a 50/50 of getting homa or wolf’s, or any of the other 5 star weapons. I had 58 wishes and pulled Homa with 48 wishes…passing along good luck to everyone.
I have summoning on the weapon banner since the beginning(oct) 😂 but only 5/10 wishes AFTER saving a pity or two for character banner I want. It also because I had too many characters since the beginning and i needed 4* weapons. I got my first 5*weapon few days ago jade spear 🤧💕finally
I definitely should stop rolling for new character, but the weapon banner should be preceeded with extreme caution. I literally don't have good weapons, much more my spooks on the permanent and character banners is enough to make my characters usable, but not memeable damage. Not to mention, the cost of rolling in this game is just prohibitive to target the weapon banner unless you're a wailord and much better to build pity on the character banner.
5 star weapons is better than getting constellations on the permanent banner in my opinion. They can push the damage better with R1 and as a near F2P, it don't make sense to have weapon Rs especially when your armory of 4* and god forbid 5* weapons is too small just to push damage marginally.
Mihoyo has been on a trend of released power creep weapons/characters I highly doubt they will stop any time soon.
Mihoyo should do Bulk releases of Characters rather than Just One. The thing is that if they go single and single, most of the community ONLY expects something to do BIG BOI damage and whatever the original purpose of the character like Support is expected as a Bonus
