How does one critique a game that they literally cannot access, even after buying it? Even if other people can get into the thing, should the critic not share their absurd experience? How forgiving does one need to be for the sake of a “AAA” videogame?
Outriders, developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix, is unplayable. Apparently I’m lying when I say this, but it’s the truth. Be it co-op or solo, I cannot start the game, and have been almost entirely unable to since it’s launch.
It’s so bad I need to seek a refund, much to the chagrin of people who are mad because of facts that I cannot change.

My biggest mistake with outriders is buying it digitally…. if I did buy a phisisical copy I would have returned it within a week or month (so I could at least play a few hours total) I have called PS about it but no…. despite selling me a
unfinished TERRIBLE game I cant refund it, even the parts that work are bad (voice actors, skill tree having maybe 10 interesting things in its entirety, melee being thee exact same across alll classes, melee enemies that stagger lock 70% of the time, the main enemy being a broken version of those melee enemies, snipers and flying bugs with wallhackes, auto shot and aimbot, a cover shooter that punishes shooting from cover and I can go on and on and on and the worst thing I haven't even been able to play

What I suggest is buying remnant from the ashes, it's better in EVERY way possible (servers work too amazingly)
And yet trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriple a publishers say “gamers” are ready for 70 dollar games. Why are the games still broken at launch? Why are they still lacking in content then?

By extension of the problem of always online gaming, can we talk about the fact that there are still lots of people who don't have internet/don't have reliable internet? Some of us, including me, don't even have the option to switch providers.
Outriders is a great game. This video on the other hand smells a bit. Been playing it since launch, maybe your just unlucky, or maybe God finally got around to you.
Standards for us peasants are always low. We are always at the loosing end if the government or a large corp screws up. If you dare to screw up yourself when dealing with either one you get really screwed.
Man I played this for free on the Game Pass and I want a refund. I finished the tutorial and I uninstalled the game, it was not fun.

Outriders keeps vocally avoiding the live-service tag, but they have engineered the game based on a live-service model. They have a pve game they balance as though it was pvp.
They also seem to have serious issue with people cheating items, which in a pve co-op game without a trade system it really shouldn't be that big a concern.
