Well, I wasn't expecting much from the game, but I must say my nostalgia over Naheulbeuk isn't exactly being activated here. And I did try the French voices.
It's not just how linear the game is, it's how… clunky it is. The lack of ambiant music/sound, the "cinematics" being just characters stuck in place, the situations are just pure wtf which, granted, Naheulbeuk was no stranger of but come on, there is no progression of madness here… and then there is the humor.
The main added value, in my opinion, of that game is that it's Naheulbeuk. And Naheulbeuk is an MP3 saga at heart. So that means good jokes with good delivery. Here, the jokes are rather basic and the delivery frankly boring, likely hindered by the dialog system. Visual jokes could compensate for it, but again, characters just stand there. And of course, everything in the game takes forever to happen, whereas the MP4 saga had ~5-10mn episodes, meaning they are heavy-packed.
In short, I want to see where this game is going, because Naheulbeuk, but so far it is less than impressive.
I really prefer the french version. Same for me the magician voice work well about a failed spell. (It is accurate why the bad voice at the magician girl)
