Sony has basically given incentive for us to pirate every PlayStation game under the sun. With their decision to axe the storefronts of three systems and consign thousands of digital games to oblivion, the company has fully telegraphed its regard for entertainment software.
Whether it’s PSP, PS Vita, or PS3, you might as well just download everything. At least one Sony executive would agree with you – the one so blinkered he can’t even understand why you’d PLAY old games, let alone buy them.
It is morally okay to pirate all the PlayStation games you like. Sony basically loves it.

Romingu dumpuuuuuu!
Old games are too ugly to be worth playing? I am struggling my way through Tenchu Stealth Assassins' atrocious controls on OpenEmu right now.
My preferred Jimbo a wrestling titan of satire and self satisfaction
You wouldn't steal a car.
You wouldn't steal a baby.
You wouldn't shoot a policeman and then steal his helmet.
I am one of the many people who ONLY pirates something they wouldn't have paid for normally anyway. My piracy doesn't actually cost anyone any money. If a good company makes a good product in a good way and sells it for a fair price, I will happily support them. It's important to me to pay for and support the products and companies that are doing a good job.
No, my Hard Drive deserves better.
"You can't steal from corporations, it's called 'reclaimation'" – Fucking based.
You are not good at this.
God, you should put more of the outtakes up. That ending made me ugly laugh
Graphics don’t make a game. It’s about gamePLAY! Game-PLAY.
jesus pirated fish.
No it's not also, it's hilarious to hear talks of morality from Jim Sterling aka the world's biggest degenerate. Wasn't you channel supposed to get copyright struck into the ground, what happened to the hero who was supposed to btfo you?
Step 1. Get PC
Step 2: Realise how much you hate the Trrrrriiple A industry
Step 2: Get emulator
Step 3: Enjoy your old games unimpeded
Step 4: Never buy a new console ever again
The video made me realize once again how much we, the customers, are not the once in power of the market anymore but instead are at the mercy of the companies.
Sometimes I think about an older game, start it up and am thankful that the servers are still online, although I once paid good money for the right to play said game.
Jim ryan sure talks shit for a guy who looks like a last-gen Gordon Ramsey
Stop pretending to be non binary when you called yourself a girl numerous times you hypocrite.
Thank god for Jim Stephanie Sterling.
The food thing is a FDA regulation though, they can't without threat of suit. They have to provide "reasonable security" (how wonderfully vague that term is) to appease their insurers. You're kind of blaming the clothes for what the jack off wearing them is doing on that one and it detracts from your thesis; screw Sony.
Oh my fucking god preach my queen! FUCKING PREACH!!!
My friend still loves his Vita, he was really upset when the store died, the Vita was great for Indies.
Were people making the same type of videos as this one when the Wii Shop Channel closed?
I mean, this was a long time coming.
Gran Turismo 2 holds up to this day. Hell I think it holds up more than most of the modern GT games.
You're a man. A white male. Get over it.
I completely agree, it was the PS Vita that made me realize that Sony is a industry follower. I always remember the quote "People just don't want handhelds anymore" Then Nintendo released the Switch and was like ok mate.
I have my N64 plugged into my ridiculous 55" TV right now (insert clip from SpongeBob SquarePants "MY EYES! MY EYES!"). My breau actually drimmel-tooled one of his screwdrivers to fit the N64 cartridge's proprietary screws, so he could replace the batteries in a bunch of my games and thus keep the flash memory alive. I have, in the past month, played Goemon's Great Adventure, Pokémon Stadium (for the mini-games, don't judge me) and Mario Party 2. With the new Pokémon Snap coming April 30th, I plan on playing through the ol' N64 version before release. If it wasn't for latency issues, I'd play Frequency on our PS2. Damn, I miss that game. Anyway, this is why my breau and I are weirdos about buying physical copies of games. And how dare this Sony Monster say nobody wants to play older games. Maybe we're all just a little nostalgic for the days when games weren't stuffed with microtransactions, loot boxes and half the content wasn't walled off by season pass bullshit.
Only thing I can think to say: be greedy, 😒they are more greedy
good stuff!
Your rational takes on the industry has given me a small glimpse of hope. Someone shoot me as i stare at these flowers. i don't wanna lose the feeling.
I JUST REALIZED MY ONLY COPIES OF SUIKODEN AS MY PHYSICALS WERE STOLEN!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I"M ORDERING A PS3 BECAUSE SUIKODEN 1&2
Lil @ Tran E
You are a hero.
