Mortal Kombat (1995) is the best film adaptation of a video game… ever.
If you don’t agree, then I’m afraid we cannot gently spoon together in bed. I stand firm on this, for my love of Paul W.S. Anderson’s Mortal Kombat is true and strong.
There are almost no good film adaptations of video games, let alone a masterpiece. Uwe Boll has seen to that. But, I truly believe that the 1995 motion picture Mortal Kombat is one such film that transcends the mediocrity of its peers and gracefully rests in the hallowed halls of cinematic… cinematic goodness.
Let me be clear, I do think you have to switch your brain off when viewing this film because it’s a goofy fantasy martial arts film… not the next Seven Samurai. And if you can learn to allow yourself to enjoy this premium schlock it will take you into its arms and cradle you sweetly with the warmth of a good old time.
I’ve always felt that the Mortal Kombat game series was goofy and fun (and of course, incredibly violent) and why should a film version be a fun adventurous romp!

Excellent video Wen! Really enjoyed it ✌️
30 mins of Bilson magic? Fantastic day.
Great video my good Bilson. Christopher Lambert's cheeky little laugh gets me every time
Will you give the new film the same review treatment?
Amazing content
Suck the air from my ear crevice, you naughty editing genius.
Awesome video 😀
I do hope Lambert makes a cameo in the new one.
Analyze Armageddon
editing was fully entertaining, subscribed !
Holy shit what a fucking slamdunk video. The editing, writing, pacing, narration, etc are all just chef's kiss. Think I subbed on a whim off a Reddit comment you made awhile back, super glad I did.
Ugh but subzero is sooo short against liu kang.
I had never considered the movie tapping into MK’s goofy essence (vs the game’s brooding 90’s marketing) but that makes total sense. And as always your editing is 🔥🔥🔥
