  1. A lot of the reasons you listed for Lissandra apply cleanly to Swain as well.
    Slow, predictable, and needs every stat (hp, cdr, ap, mana, MS) to perform his short-range battlemage role. RoA was his jam, and now that's gone.
    But he's still played because he excels as a support and his midgame teamfighting is kinda insane.
    I want to play him in the mid lane, not just the mid game, is the problem.

  2. I recently got back into Lissandra and you bring up a lot of valid points.

    I think just a small tweak to how the player handles her could solve her problems.

    I've been finding a lot of success playing her like i would as Kassadin or Kha'zix, teleport over a wall with E, hit them with a RQWQ combo, then back the heck up.

    In most of my games i've not noticed my durability issues just because i'm not in a position where i can be hit.

  3. I picker her as sup any time I see two assassins on the other team. Because her CC is virtually instant cast and most other champions no longer have point click lock down CC. she absolutely ruins assassins. That and she actually has enough dmg and survivability with support items to be somewhat useful. :S that said shes not going to be on the tier of Zyra for dmg output or a naut or mao for CC or a yumi, janna. Lissy is a niche thing. But she is very good if you are playing defensively.

  4. I fucking love this champ she is so fun to play and even when I lose lane I still feel useful because I know I can e2 > w > r myself and Zhonyas and win the team fight with my team with passive

  5. Something I've long advocated for Lissandra to get is some sort of passive that converts spellcasts into shields. Either granting her a Shield based on enemies hit, or based on mana spent. Nothing to make her a full tank, but she NEEDS something to allow her to even exist in melee.

  6. Reverting the passive will be pointless because with her higher mana costs it didn't actually bring anything to the table and it was completely irrelevant post lane phase

    The newer passive added noticeable additional slows and at times good damage which was.often ignored due to how distracting things are in team fights

    Its all the other issues you mentioned that need to be addressed instead

  7. her balance would be solved if they increased the spd of her glacial claw and leave it at that. yknow, allow her the ability to catch a champion. as a liss main thats not all i would want but that alone would increase her playability without needing to "balance" her but yknow if riot gives her that one concession they will lower her base dmg for whatever reason.

    as you said in the video, she suffers from being a "kinda" version of every mage but its clear riot wants her to be an AP Burst mage, hell she is built like on already. my problem with liss is that she is one of the only mages who does not have a safe hard cc option from range.

    Lux,zyra,brand,syndra,annie even ziggs all have hard cc that is safe from range, not liss. and her kit makes it clear that you are a risk taking, up close an personal mage. that one affordance of aftershock was enough to keep her risky but allow her to do the job conducive to her playstyle.but they dont want liss to have anything nice.

    If they were to change her kit to allow one cc option that is safe from range then that would also fix most of her problems. hell the glacial claw should be some type of hook ability in my opinion if you get hit with that thing, you deserve to be locked down with how slow it is, or they could put a spin on her old passive and make it so that every 7 seconds her next ability roots the 1st champion hit. these are just ideas

    riot is very slow to positively alter champions that are not "visually popular" so im not holding my breath for any sort of decent changes to her

  8. To make this clear lissandra is a combat mage. With out the hogh ap ratios her full combo of abilities often arent enough to 1 shot even the adcs soo it realy gets frustrating for players when playing this champ in combat and knowing the damage might not be enough to 1 shot the enemy team

For the champ that is designed to be a combat mage she has highest 90% ap ratio on 1 ability making her to deal the least damage to enemy team , and as a mage who has low ap ratios she has very short range of abilities because only champs that i think of As a similar ap ratios are xerath and ziggs who are long range seiges … Lissandra is like cassiopeia. Who needs to damage enemy in the range of 500-800 but unlike cass she has no skills to cast rapidly soo her champ design is alredy a problem
