  1. People are trying to play this game like gears of war? In gears of war you take cover or you die. In this game, you need to stay mobile, do damage to recover HP and have the abilities and powers to do so. Your character is so ridiculously overpowered it's ludacris to compare this to gears. They aren't even remotely the same game.

Edit: This video is 100% spot on, great vid!

  2. For story, i would like you to introduce to borderlands 1 and 2, destiny 1 taken king and destiny 2 forsaken. Hell season of the chosen have good story. Not saying this game could not have good story but people can and should demand better story regardless of the genre. Without it, you ends up being a disaster like anthem, fallout 76 and marvel avengers.

  3. The funny thing is, your title “Why people really hate Outriders” I think is bullshit, you know how much positive reception this game is getting right now? The amount of hype behind this game is crazy lol please point out where in the community people are hating this game more, compared to how many people actually like it

Your title is false, but you put it that way to justify the creation of your video

  4. Videos get traction and attention from being intereacted with and Hippo – never watched you, don't know you but since you have a video that is as blunt and to the point as I would do myself you get likes and a comment so the algorithm gives you some love and this message gets to more people.

This is one of the best Looter Shooters I have ever played and I have played them all – people complaining came for a RPG, a Cover Shooter they came for something that this game takes second but as a Looter Shooter – NAILS IT!!!

  5. It's because the combat & gameplay is different to what most are used to, it'll take off and will be a great game. 3 days away from launch, unfortunately the game doesn't drop in the uk till 7pm on launch day 🙁 But got the entire day off and only have a 5 hour shift friday so all good.

  6. I completely agree… people compare this to Division 2. You HAVE to be super agressive and use abilities and build your abilities power. Mods for your gear and guns is also important. I love the hippo tits on your hippo emblem btw 😆😆😆

  7. Extremely pedantic tone throughout the entire video. You should really stop the constant "but people think…" phrasing. It's annoying, repetitive and is unnecessary rhetoric fat serving no purpose but to contrast your self proclaimed genius to everyone who disagrees with you. Just deconstruct arguments you find needing addressing, without constantly showering yourself in implicit compliments.

I can see your argument for people interpreting the game as a looter shooter and that it might not be designed for that to be the focal point. However, that doesn't constitute a reason why the game would still be good (which you insinuate repeatedly); it merely parries a reason for it to be bad. I personally found the cover mechanics to be very janky above all else. But let us assume you are right in saying cover is mostly rudimentary; what does the game offer outside of that that is so great in comparison to other games?

The story argument is an obvious composite fallacy. Not only do you use "but other games in this genre have bad stories too" (which is an obvious non argument) but you also completely cut out the fact that the game is promoted as being story driven. A very large motivation throughout the entire thing is the advancement of the plot. You repeatedly claim "it's not a bad story!". So why is it not a bad story? To me it seemed like there were an awful lot of plotholes, sudden and unrealistic characters arcs and more tropes than I could count on ten hands. But apparently you saw something in it I did not, sadly you didn't elaborate on that at all.

You started with a somewhat intriguing argument about people not playing the game right, but the content quickly decayed into a lengthy slog of non arguments and you implicitly claiming victory over "people".

  8. It's not that people hate outriders if that people are worried about the fact that square said they will not support the game if the game is not successful at launch if it don't make enough money and if it's not a major player base of people who are going to continually play the game..
Not to mention is worrisome when you have multiple characters for each class in the demo who are level nine through World tier with their gear and all you are getting is blue and green items. It makes you think about anthem before they fix the end game loot issue… yes random reward generator is a factor but you cannot ignore the fact that there are so many other due to Shooters out there where they adjusted the drop rate towards end game period example in the demo if your character is all maxed out you should be getting legendaries and blues and not white items and green items. Not to mention the article that was recently posted this week Square said that their day one patch may addressed loot balancing.
Most importantly people are not thinking about the fact that outriders is not a traditional looter shooter. Square already confirmed enemies in the final game will not drop loot. You get loot by completing missions you get more of it by completing repeatable missions and speed run through them information from the Q&A with posted by YouTubers a week after the actual Q&A with all this happened at least three weeks ago.
Frankly that's why I believe we should all wait and see what happens before we throw in our money. Don't get me wrong I loved outriders I played on every class for the demo but now I'm more cautious because of what happened with Anthem and cyberpunk. Yes outriders is not a live service game but apples and oranges outriders is a somewhat looter shooter. Even Square constantly spoke about that they want to make additional plans to expand outriders if the game is successful with DLCs raids and dungeons they even said this on their Q&A.

  9. Tbh the only reason why that game is not waiting for me in my library is the price. For 50 £ you get looter shooter, which can be your favourite game for hundreds hours, or if devs will be not pleased with profits, you will feel that pain of loosing that money on one game, which will not be develop further in that case. If there will be promotion I will definitely buy it just to See if I was right and finish story line which is very good.

  10. This is a quote directly from Square.
“We don’t mean by ‘this is not a live service game’, that we’ll abandon the game immediately after launch. Even if the game isn’t super successful, we still have plans to make some adjustments to the balance and some other things. But if the game is more successful and people like it, we’re more than happy to create more adventures – it’s up to how players react to the game and how they feel overall about the game.”

Yes they said even if the game is not successful they would continue to support it but in terms of balancing they will not add additional content if outriders is not successful just like what I said previously. It's basically going to be like an Anthem Defiance 2050 scenario that they are going to support outriders for a certain amount of time. Just like what happened to 2050 the company behind that game supported the game for 3 years and then on April 29th they are going to remove support.

  11. Most importantly I did not appreciate you insulting my intelligence like that. You got a lot growing up to do. I mean really quote my comment piece by piece when most the stuff I said from Square private Q&A.
Like I said before I played over 100 hours of the demo I dedicated so many hours for each character for the demo if I didn't like the game I would never have done that for a demo.
I read articles I watch videos I think about stuff on a deep level. All I'm saying is we should learn from our mistakes as consumers don't just blindly by outriders. Simply wait and see what's going to happen wait and see if the game is going to be successful. Wait and see what are the differences between the demo and the full game. Due to the fact a lot of sources that have been confirmed by square through their Q&A that enemies will not drop loot. Square even said this when they patched the chest Farm how captains will not drop legendaries in the full game. Even YouTubers like open World Games confirmed as when they first patched the chest Farm.

  12. Play mechanics are ok and copy a lot but honestly this should of came out 5 years ago. The movement feels cheap. Feel like GOW and I hate those games and that "corridor fight" feel no matter what way you turn.

  13. It's because it does have some generic aspects to it but MAN the positives far outweigh the negatives of this game. The loot system and legendaries are actually interesting! So many games fail this! on top of that the classes actually feel fun and pretty unique. I don't care about those who hate it though.. us who appreciate it will enjoy what's to come.
