oops, here's the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/sungbg/this_game_brings_out_the_worst_in_people/
i stopped competitive gamig for 2-3 years because i was focusing on a personal goal and wanted to stay far from stress, tryhard and toxicity. I played Warframe during this time and it was the Best gaming community i ever met. Now i'm back to the toxicity even with my 4k hours on warframe. On competitive games it feels good to win, but when you are loosing, things can turn really bad
In a competitive game like valorant especially in ranked. Find a balance between having fun and also taking the game serious. You also just need to focus on yourself and your gameplay. See where you made mistakes and try and correct them. I've made many mistakes myself and I'm not mad. I'm happy I learned from them. And I'm happy to be apart of this community. No matter how toxic it can be
still better then cs xd
Today me and a friend wanted to play unrated. We got in a lobby, nobody talked. Winning 4-0 and suddenly a surrender vote without any reason, nobody said anything as to why they would want to surrender. Surrender vote denied and then the 3 other teammates just start running it mid with knife in hand. When they died they were constantly calling out our position in all chat. This was a sad experience and the game after we get a phoenix who uses his abilites on his teamates.
Me who plays Valorant with no headphones or speakers and only with chats : "I don't hve such weaknesses"
Me, when someone askes me how to handle tilt:
If you died, assume it was at least partially your fault. Run the situation back in your head and think about what would have resulted in a different outcome. If there's nothing you could have done, don't worry about it.
Even if you died as a direct result of a team mates action, there's no point yelling at them about it.
Also me:
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU AIMING AT?
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TAKE BOMB OUT MID
ARE YOU FUCKING BRAINDEAD
MOTHERFUCKER YOU FLASHED ME
personally even where i live people are being racist so much for no fucking reason i dont know why these people are even dont realize that we all have felling . i am diamond in rank bt some silver players in unrated talking bullshit if i wiff sometimes or cant clutch that makes me angry so much that i want to beat that person and tear his ribs and hung the body to a tree.
no offense but its true valorant is more toxic than any multiplayer game i have played so far.
i genuinely dont think valorant would be considered toxic if games like fortnite had the option to talk to enemies
also iv had some really wholesome interactions on valorant, so it's not all that bad to be honest games like league are way worse
i think most toxicity in fps games is because of the general type of people who play fps games. compairing valorant to stardew valley is unrealistic since the people who play them are vastly different. this is the main reason i split my time between fps and mmo. can only handle so much hatred in fps games and i can only handle so much boredom in mmos.
This is why I have more fun playing single player games
Yeah tbh my friend who used to main fortnite was very chill but when he started playing val he just only cared about skill and hates playing with me bc I’m not all in it for skill and rank
I unbound my scoreboard key. Prevents me from both focusing too much on mine OR my teammates performances, and let’s me be more in the moment.
I try to have the mentality I don't care but I realize that I hate losing its frustrating and the boasting of the other team doesn't help my anxiety. So I just get pissed off that I can't just carry my team I wish I could play for fun, but I've always had this with sports that if im not good enough then Im worthless. It's a trait that I really need to overcome and try to unlearn as a game should not be affecting me this much.
if u think this is much is bc u dont know csgo LOL
Valorant more toxic then csgo is now, less racism in valorant but it’s way more toxic no body can chill, I’m in bronze and I admit some times I get titled but it’s mainly from getting yelled at for a simple mistake in comp like I just don’t get the valorant mentality especially when it’s people who are 4 stacking
This is why I play unrated
Also because my internet unstable
i used to be a chill player but like now i get tilted way to quick. i got comm banned because i said KYS in chat. now i cant play comp for 72 hrs.
Is it not in every shooter ? I mean just look the old cod lobbies 😂💀
Me just watching the 5 kj turrets
You can't play comp when chat muted but they still don't try and fix ranks
Team based games aren't fun
If the valorant community has toxicity, wait until you get to see the genshin community back then
Built diff .
I’m literally s1 and can’t be happier I don’t play for that yes I wanna get better but I don’t just get mad at other people just because I fucked up that’s on me and I have a lot of respect. But everyone shit talks me I just don’t listen and ask why when you can just give coms hype us up you know
I got 100 years ban for afk
stardew valley is a very good game
A huge problem (in life generally) is that there are disparate expectations for all the players. Some players want to top frag, some want to win, some want to try new strategies and agent combos, some want to min/max their play, and others just want to have fun [whatever that entails for that individual]). So when you queue for a game and get 4 other players whose idea of having fun is possibly different, you can get bad interactions. For instance, if I want to top frag but I am not after a few rounds, I may tilt or stop trying as hard as a defense mechanism. Or people who want to win may tilt when their team throws rounds. Difference in expectation is what can also contribute to bad experiences with others.
Ngl I much more chill playing jump king than playing valorant is it just me?
me and everyone i play with are trash
Good video. And so true. I feel like the youth also may develop problems in the future because they think being toxic is okay. They could become used to it through playing the game that it passes down to real life. Repetitive bad behavior can turn into habit and into personality.
i agree, but im defo not gonna stay cool when my teammates in gold elo literally buy OP and i tell them to cover me and they miss literally 3 shots to someone trying to kill me
I just watch the replication in the back, it’s fun
As a person who played comp csgo I can say the valorant community is 10x better in unrated atleast
im so cool agree on me
Team = bro defuse
Me = we are at-
Team BROOO DEFUSE NOOB UR SUCH A NOOB BI*** P** F*** U
Me = but-
Team = Defuse!!!!
Spike Detonated
Victory
Me = see we win
Team = nah ur just lucky
(Based on a true story)
Dude, from my POV valorant is a friendly game, i have 80 friends in game and over half of them fuond in competitive. If someone is toxic he gets insta report. Behavior on val is important and thankfully, the valTeam (i mean the staff) bans who get a report.
Anyway, please people, enjoy this beautiful game.
As long as you are competitive, this will happen. Just look at sports, winning mentality is a gift and if you don't that winning mentality then youcare out of the team
valorant seems to take toxicity way too seriously but this is someone coming from csgo. Don't like someone mute them and stop playing with them lol
